I had a great day though, so much fun :D Tandem runs with Jay was crazy, hektikc dirt drop entries where brilliant :D It was good to follow a skilled driver, helped me get to the speeds needed through corners to hold them better, expecially the esses, which was foot to the floor the whole way round and still losing ground lol

cant wait for the next one :)

More grip then. lol. nah i want more speed. but im ringing uot 3rd up with the straight and 4th doesnt have enough torque to get around the corner


although one thing that i have noticed... is that the stiffer my car has gotten the more power ive needed.. eg: from just coils, to fully caged, to caged, rose jointed all round etc... or maybe its just me.. :P

Oh how i hate you currently.

I had the option to buy an 18-RGU off a mate to drop into a KE a couple of months ago. Ended up deciding i like having a bit more power, have an continued plugging away with my R31 project.

Then got taken for a drive in the SA63 Celica the motor resides in the other day...man those motors have got guts, an that was in a car 300odd kg heavier than a keto... :(

yeah the older engines are surprisingly powerful noting that 18rg are 2L engines (so that may have been the difference).

I've driven a 4a-ge before and to my surprise my 2t-geu felt alot more powerful. Although it could have been the possibility of the engine not being tune properly. Still 2tg, 18rg, 4a-g are awesome engines, love em :)

Details:
Gate Entry Fee is $10.00 (for everyone).
Practice starts at 5pm, but drivers should be there at around 4.30pm.

Needed:
CAMS Level 2NS Licence (or higher).
If you do not have a CAMS Licence, you can purchase a Level 1 ‘day’ licence for $25.00.
$90.00 for your practice ‘track time’.

Each group will be able to drift in alternate 30 minute sessions.
You will need to wear a CAMS approved motor sport helmet.
You will also need to wear long clothing - cotton or wool only.
