Just wanting to plug a mate of mine who has helped out with some fabrication stuff on my car lately and is trying to kick off his business - hope this is ok to post otherwise mods let me know.

His name is Antony and his business is called Outlaw Welding

http://www.outlawwelding.com.au

He's located in Melbourne South East. Great bloke and is very reasonably priced for any welding and fabrication jobs, here are a couple of jobs I've had him do for me.

i need some rust repairs which ill be fixing in the future .. you think he could help me out ?

some rust just under the rear quarter windows and other minor places. any rough estimate costs on certain jobs .. or im guessing its pretty much based on having a look at it first

Yeah Im contemplating getting my engine bay stitch welded and get most if not all of the rust cut out whilst I have the engine bay paint stripped and clean...

Does your mate go mobile aswell for a job like mine?

Best to email him and ask - I think he's chasing more fabrication type jobs over panel/rust repairs but I'm not sure.

Again best to email him for prices, I'll just say very well priced compared to other mobs when I was shopping around! Especially for the quality of work.

He has and does work for V8 Supercar race teams so knows what he's doing. He'll definitely be doing more work for me in the future.

I got the struts shortened by Antony and I put them together using the T3 kit and Tokico HTS102 inserts. The kit is well priced but not sure I like the alloy spring sleeves, they have a tendancy to turn on the strut when you are trying to adjust the spring perch as they arent fixed like the welded on steel sleeves, not a huge drama though. Other than that they are good

Wouldn't you be able to avoid that by having a tiny niche cut into the bottom of the sleeve, with a matched size locating tab to stop it from spinning? Would have made sense to do it right from the start imo. But then again how often do you need to make adjustments...

antony just took my struts to be converted.

he even picked them up from my work place on his way home, can't get better service then that!

Yep something like that prob would work, if I had have thought it was going ot be a problem before I put them together! I'm sure there are other ways around it if it become a real problem for me. Even wrapping something around the strut tube so the sleeve is a tighter fit might work, I'll worry about it if it becomes a problem.

Yep he's a great bloke - I gave him my struts on Easter sat and he emailed me the next day to say they were ready and I could pick them up if I wanted!

I got mine done 40mm shorter, using HTS102 inserts and with ~20mm spacer at the bottom of the strut - which is a pretty common config. But again depends on what inserts your using and what ride height you want the car at etc.
