Does anyone know of a repairer which specialises in japanese imported cars? I'm trying to get a roadworthy for my trueno so I thought I would first take it in to a mechanic who will be able to tell me exactly what has to be done for it to get a roadworthy. Preferably someone in the northern suburbs

PM me with your email address, I got a fact sheet from regency for starters.
Side intrusion, with sign off to ADR29 with evidence.
ELR seatbelts for front and rear outbound seats.
Child restraints to ADR 34A
1st Jan 84-31st Dec 85 do not require a catalitic convertor be fitted.

Then the rest for roadworth, no chassis damage, stock ride height, effective front and rear brakes, no leaks either oil or water/coolant. Trim fitted to areas near passangers, Inner guards fitted to front guards, lights all working, windscreen washer working, no structural rust.
You can pretty much do everything yourself even manufacture your side intrusion bars, but you do require sign off for the bars by a chartered engineer.

Also located NE Ad.

when you say lights all working does that mean that the inside lights or just the headlights, brakelights, etc? do the popup light retraction mechanisms have to work too?
