with the bay/body colour, bracing, wheel choice ect ect i would say it is a tec arts built car. nice oil cooler, dope oil catch can.

i really wish there was any point at all in owning a car like that in oz.

ive said it before but yeah like, get pulled over in that thing, they would pretty much just punch you in the face.

Robo86

breno
1st May 2009, 02:56 PM

benzo
1st May 2009, 04:32 PM
Satoh style, cut and spaced out

You could argue that a dedicated drift car doesn't need to be neat, clean and complete, like a road car or a race car. It's going to be on track for relatively short stints at a time, mostly travelling at lower speeds than those a 'track' car would experience. A half-arsed hack that looks tits, is all you need. (Assuming the suspension and steering componentry is sorted, of course.)

Konakid
5th May 2009, 03:45 PM
Every part on the car is top quality, and they are all tried and proven and they work.

It wasn't built to win car shows it was built to be driven and when you actually drive your car hard, shit tends to get a bit beat up around the edges.

Cars that are beat up around the edges and aren't perfect have character.

Character wins.

Therefore this car wins.

benzo

I like the way you sum that up Henry

+1 to what he said

dave2221
5th May 2009, 08:06 PM
i think i may chime in here.

all points aside about how keeping a car running while drifting is really hard.... i get that. and i wont put anyone down for having a beat up car.

but i also dont think the beat up look is any good.

so ok, keeping it show room wont be possible, but i also think the pics of the car make it look.... just tired.... like its had its day, and it needs to go back for some TLC till next time. but the guy prob doesnt give a fuck any more, so he is just goig to thrash the tits off it till it blows up.

breno
5th May 2009, 08:15 PM
can everyone shut the fuck up.
no body knows anything about the car here.

more of this.

i dont see how that car is haggard?
it looks like it slides..
thats about it.

dave2221
5th May 2009, 08:24 PM
not haggard, just like its been out there...

if i was building a car, i would want it to look like above, just minty.

thats all i am saying. i dont like the "used" look of it

i just dont get the appeal of the PIG look.

ae71

i like like the motorFIX look!

the wheels+hight are what really make it look good.

driftke70
5th May 2009, 09:12 PM
im all for a car thats used and abused, but cars that are built shit for the sake of it i dont really like. obviously this cars wasnt the case, looks like it was once a clean as car, but its been to the track a fair bit, thats why it was built, and thats what its doing.

otherwise we would all be looking at photos from summernats or some shit.

as konakid said, its character, you can spend your life worrying about stuff, or you can drive, cars wern't built to sit in garages their whole life.

dave2221

You just completely contradicted yourself.

not quite...... i was pointing out that a car does get trashed, but it would only be from lack of effort of fixing it up that it would be like that.... i dont like the look of the "pig" car.

basic summary, i dont get off on the look of pig cars
but if mine was to get like that (i would hope it wouldnt) thats understandable, but i still wouldnt like it

so basically now, i give up..........
