Bought another KE70 casuse mine got defected a while ago and my Bluebird got written off about a week ago.
I sold all my old suspension so need to get some more now. all ive got left form my old bits is a 4AC with a puck clutch and a 4AGE with a spun bearing, so gonna put the 4AC in for a while do my sus and maybe one day put the GE in not really too fussed 4AC is good enough, more of a challenge lol.

Its early model front and is light blue at the moment but is half rubbed back so will be getting sprayed a dark grey/silver mettalic and probly run some MAs might paint them white.

don't wanna spend hell money on the suspension, probly just get some cheap couilovers for the front/ corona arms. And ive got some 250mm 4KG rears already just need shocks and a swaybar, will mainly be for hills but still slide it aswell.

Nice project ;) What have you done with the "end" parts of your gaurds when you flared them? Does the whole lip get folded out or just the main area then the bottom left sort of tucked in? I'm looking at doing mine and I'm not sure what to do at this part

Rob

Ill get some better pictures for you when theyre finished. i have to cut a heap out from in front of the wheel for castor clearance

Didnt get as much as i wanted done this weekend because i broke the diff in my RX7 and i had to pull that out and weld it back together. but did a fair bit of body work and picked up a bellhousing for my T50.

[attachment=24009:ripple.JPG]
big ripple in the door

[attachment=24010:repair_1.JPG]
[attachment=24012:repair_2.JPG]
all pulled out

found some more rust that had been bogged up <_<
[attachment=24013:Rust_1.JPG]
[attachment=24014:rust_2.JPG]

hoping to have all the repairs done and in primer by next weekend.

Had a heap of mates helping out this weekend and got most of the body work done. And my Bro got a new KE so i had to swap parts into that aswell. I did want to have it painted this weekend but just had heaps of other stuff i had to do.

[attachment=24253:crew.JPG]

Whole car is pretty much stripped now so i can paint inside the door frames etc.

[attachment=24254:stripped.JPG]

And randomly found out that 2004 Magna wagon rear springs seat perfectly in the rear of a KE and look to be a good rate aswell. :teehee: definitely a bit stiffer than stock Falcon cuts.

UPDATES. anything new?

Rob
12th April 2008, 08:39 AM
My RX7 is broken, so i bought another KE70 and an AE71 with a full 4AG setup. So this car has been on hold for a while.
The KE70 wasnt running too good, so i put the 4K out of the blue shell in it and just did a basic suspension setup, so thats my new daily.

And I'm putting the 4AG in the blue one and scrapping the AE71 shell cause its defected.

Also bought all of my old suspension back off my brother. so got a pretty decent setup for this car, just need to get front coilovers and a rear swaybar, maybe front aswell and some rcas cause i sold mine a while ago.

Pics and specs of my new daily KE70 will be up later on
