I have answered this a few times now. From memory the Toyota/Nissan/Mitsubishi oil fitting is 1/8" BST 28tpi. The aftermarket oil pressure sensor is 1/8" NPT 27tpi.

Please seach and see if I got it right. It could be the other way around.

Might be backwards there johnny

I have an adaptor here in the shed to suit a 1/8" npt sender and my factory oil pressure sendor is a direct fit. Well it seems to be, doesnt appear to crossthread at all.

1/8" bst 28tpi and 1/8"npt 27tpi arent all that different (works on my dads 150psi air compressor), in reality thread tap will still seal it, considering its only 5-7mm of thread anyways.

I asked this one a while ago, but still haven't been arsed to do anything about it.

I confirm that I am right. I fit gauges at work, sometimes once a week. I did one today.

Japanese engine block is 1/8" BSW
Aftermarket gauges are 1/8" NPT or NTP or whatever.

Don't force the wrong one, its just a bad thing. It will crossthread.

Today I bought a VDO T piece from Burson. The original pressure switch screws in the far end. The aftermarket sensor screws in the side.
