Suspension, always do the suspension first!

nice find :)

good luck converting it to ae71 in the future

I'm in adelaide and parts are pretty scarce

but hunting and collecting is half the fun :)

be different and put quads in the slanty front :P

i just got some 4 mine (pending) but its the early front

its been done... just search around on here

as for ride height i think the myth is that the lowest point on ur car has to clear a coke can ... 100 or 110mm

yet go try that myth on the rear of a VE cop car <_<

and YES get ur mates to get these :) :) :)

Ksevn-T

"yet go try that myth on the rear of a VE cop car dry.gif"

?

I'm not too much of a fan of the slanty quad light job without the rest of it to go with. Ive seen a fair few flat front ends that i could have picked, but short of cash once again.

Ksevn-T

Some updates as of last weekend.

- Chopped standard springs to get an idea of ride height for falcon springs and corona struts.
- Cusco copy strut brace.
- Repaired Rust.
- Golf ball shifer.
- More random bits and peices

Not much, but its something.

LOL

My mates gf's handbag got cought on my already cracked center console and as she was getting out snapped the remaining bits of by yanking her bag so i thought the leather boot might as well come off too, since there was a nice rubber one underneath. As for the golf ball, it just snapped in half one day just like my exhaust tonight, in the apex of a corner.

did a bit of damage. Pushed beaver panel and left quarter in as well as braking the bumper off the mounts, sucks, have to go to pick-a-part now or find a way of hammering panels out.

Ended up buying an immobilizer kit off ebay for a $1 which was a fair laugh. (Now installed)

The next question is:
To Lower MORE or NOT to lower?

Just bought a pair of Monroe Gas super short strokes out of a Suzuki Sierra.

Since the colision with the Bloody! toilet block, Its all been fixed up thanks to Paul and his Ae71 donor Car.

Thanks for the donor parts Paul. Would hate to see what the car looks like now. lol. Ravaged being an understatement?

Trying to get the car to handle nicely so suspension is crucial. So far:

For the time being,
Chopped Falcons all round. -- Until i get some super low AJPS springs.
Possibly puting some sierras in the rear that i have lying round. -- Eventually KYB adjustable
Xt130 arms and struts that went in as of yesterday. -- Might send them off to be coil-overed or even get some T3 Coilovers

Getting Lateral bar next week but am unsure of what make, etc. etc. Rose jointed or bushed???

MountainRunner
31st August 2008, 04:51 PM
what ever you do don't get a whiteline panhard rod

starni_boy
31st August 2008, 08:52 PM
Why?

Most of them are fine, and if they arent they can always be sent back and replaced with a new one.

Cusco are great, but Cusco = $$

Ksevn-T
1st September 2008, 12:26 AM
Whats wrong with whiteline? Had one offered to me cheap. Are they lifetime warranty?
What are Noltec like?

julzy
1st September 2008, 06:08 PM
just chop and weld your stock bar

Ksevn-T
1st September 2008, 06:40 PM
Rose joints arent cheap. What lateral bar are you running julzy?

julzy
1st September 2008, 06:53 PM
chopped standard bar,
high tensile rod $15 and a nut $1,
chop 20ish cm out of the standard bar ,
weld the nut on one end, and the rod in the other,
and adjust all you want,
it works as well as any other, cheap and easy

Fairly good cheap idea/alternative. Props Julzy. Is this the sort of bar you lining up for that new white ke of yours? Are stock bars even hollow?

whiteline is adjustable off car which is pointless and defeats the purpose of having a adjustable pan hard rod
