hey folks

to counter the continual asking of questions such as

"what will 15x8 zero offset look like on my hachi"

i have devised a cunning plan...

basically i would like everyone to post up a picture of their wheels on their car with details of the modifications done.

LIMIT OF ONE PICTURE PLEASE. and AE86 and KE70 only

even if you have 13x5.5" + 30mm, so long as its not a stock wheel post it up. i would like a large range of information.

i need a picture that shows the following:

-show how close the wheel is to the edge of the guard
-show how high the car is off the ground (ie where the tyre sits relative to the guard)
-no turned wheels, steering wheel straight ahead (cheers Meathead #2)
please no pictures using wheel spacers.

please only post of rear fitment with STOCK differentials (S series,ke70 borgwarner, or T series) (no hilux/torago etc diffs please)

i have come up with a simple way that i would like you all to post

FRONT WHEELS

please include picture with the following details

-car (ke70 or ae86)
- wheel size (eg 15x8)
-offset (please be exact with this)
-Tyre size
-Lower control arm in use
-Camber (if using stock camber tops with longer control arm please say so)
-work done to guards to make them fit if applicable

REAR WHEELS

please include a picture with the following details

-wheel size (eg 15x8)
-offset (please be exact with this)
-Tyre size
-work done to guards to make them fit if applicable.

oh one last thing informative posts only

also if you see someone who has posted exactly the same setup as your car, you might not need to post, ill let you be the judge of this :2thumbs:

thanks guys

Very good idea for a thread! we needed a wheel fitment thread, but make sure that the pics are actually worthwhile posting and the way the rim sits can be seen clearly, i.e no turned wheels, side on angles, etc. Will get some pics up now.

JUST WANTED TO POINT OUT..

Some tires stretch way more then others and clearance can and will change dramatically

ie

195/50/15 "on a 8" rim" potenza g3 has so much more clearnce in guards then the new re001

Konakid

Oh they stretch for sure but the sidewall doesn't really pull that tight like the G3's did, probably due to them not having a lip protector.

dunno how useful that really is but can't hurt.

25mm offset rca

15x7.5 - 5 (ssr reverse mesh, must be the most common imported 15" ssr wheel ever)
sigma arm (1pc)
3.5 -ve
flaired guard.
rubbed quite alot but i dealt with it.
some shit house 195 50..

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/87263.jpg

15x8.5 +20 w/25mm bolt on.

195 50

sorta stock lipped guards.

i say sorta cos they were rusted to fuck and repaired in an "interesting" way (cheers j panel shop)

but size will fit without a flair.

in all these posts, I'm sure all my wheels cept the froms on the 70, rub a tiny bit(unless otherwise noted), but nothing you should worry about if youre not a pussy.

should also be noted if you intend to run FRP front guards (or rear) or over fenders.. then you should run more clearance, especially on the front, or they can end up getting damaged (READ, blown to pieces) pretty easy.
