i did the same as sonsta. if ur seat is bottom mount its really easy. i boguht 4mm steel to lay across my stock rails, measured the distance between the front and back bolts under the seat and welded the steel into place. then i just drilled out where the holes would go through the steel from the seat (twice cuz i can't measure too good) which took ages cuz i used so thick steel. i used a 2mm, 5mm, 8mm and 10mm bits and alot of drill coolant stuff. it really is easy just pull ur stock rails off ur seat and you'l know what to do from there

Dad and I welded a bit of 6mm flat bar to the original seat rail. Drilled holes in the flat bar for the seat to bolt on to.

son57a that is exactly what I'm looking for, can you do us a favor, i need to also see the clearence from the steering wheel to the seat.

can you move your seat forward or back at all, looks fixed in that position to me, i wanted to make up some sidemounts for adjustability

btw, my seat is bottom mount, 20v kid, does the seat flex at all during turns????, cos ive noticed compared to son57a's rails, you don't have any support across the seat base

i can move it back and forwards yes.

i will measure and take a photo of clearnace for you, my legs don't hit the steering wheel at all as they sit either side of it, theres probably 125mm clearance or somethin

Nah mate there is no flex its good and strong. Ive hit the skid pan a few times and its been good. Just use nothing smaller then 6mm and u should be fine.

how did you take the rest of the rail of, ie. the bit that adjust height, and the back rest, grind it off??, looks like its pressed in

The rails are factory ke70 fitted onto the factory mounts on the floor. They are oem and do not need to be braced across. The factory slide lever is in place and works in the usual way.Only 1 piece of 6x50 flat bar was welded on to make the seats fit.My dad,6ft2in,drives La rolla with no hight or reach problems.Brad.

with my rail there was no height adjustment. but just guessing u would probably just need to grind it off

I did what you guys have done 1st and found the seat sat 2 high.

so ive just mounted 2 buckets and made up custom rails.. super low!!!

all i did .. get 2 universal sliding rails. (per seat)
i used 4mm angle for front brackets, 4 mm angle for the rear inner brackets and 4 mm plate for the rear outer brackets

each mount is welded to the front and rear of each rail..
the rails are joined together with one piece of 4 mm bar at the front only

side mount brackets were then welded to the top side of each rail

there is nothing joining the rails together at the rear.. i did this so i could get the seat as low as possible without fouling anything.

i have the seats just about on the floor which i like

i'll get some pics.. cost me about $70 in materials to make up both rails including sliders

its not legal at all, you can't mod rails pretty much...you have to buy them like the bride ones n that.. u can make it look legal but
