Rob Brown & the team at Autobarn Lawnton have donated a KE70 automatic sedan & parts to Lawnton Special School for the Manual Arts students to restore.
They have repaired/overhauled/serviced the brakes, wheel bearings, engine, transmission and steering rack. They have also replaced the struts, batttery, water pump, fan belt, radiator cap, filters and fitted a sports steering wheel, a new MP3 player with 6" speakers and new floor mats & seat covers.
The students have learnt new skills and enjoyed doing the work, all under close, professional supervision & instruction. The car is now ready for sale and comes with a safety certificate and 6 months rego.
The car will be auctioned at Autobarn Lawnton on Gympie Rd at 10:00 on Sunday July 27. A cash deposit of $200 will be required on the day and the balance to be paid by cash or bank cheque by 4pm on the following Tuesday.
