its been covered so many times before.

struts/brakes/steering arms are a good upgrade for a ke70 becuase you can run the bigger shock diameter and alos have bigger brakes at the same time.

cant really use anything else in a 4age conversion except from the second half of the tailshaft back.

you could always do the (2t?) conversion into the 70

pedal box master cyl etc etc youll need a hydraulic clutch..

also good to have a few gearboxes lying around
either for your own use or for sale

gearbox
full tailshaft
diff

you'll need a 4a bellhousing to make it work. it will accept 4a clutches, the output shaft spline count is different to 86/71 but you have the front tailshaft half so it works out ;)

pedal box doesn't line up with KE70 bulkhead bolt holes, you can make it work, i've used one, but it sat the column too low and off to the right. could cut and reweld it, depends how keen you are i guess

keep the clutch master, slave and hard line as they are the same/similar as JDM 86

keep the struts and coilover them, as mentioned earlier brakes are bigger than 70 but smaller than 86

obviously the series 1 bumpers sell for good money on here. and there are particular parts of the front paneling of 1 version that are compatible with the "jdm quads lights" set up.

you definitely want the gearbox x member too. as often youll get a 86 t50, but the 86 x member wont work.

if youre really keen maybe take the key barrels if theyre a matching set.

maybe the carpet will work?

tail lights.

oh really? :(

and what parts of the paneling are good for the quad conversion? and from what series?

yeah the struts are no good, only series 2 is what you can use, im pretty sure the front panel is good for the quads (the piece that sits under the headlights and bolts to the guards and sits behind the front bar)

obviously wrong....

Also Series 2 have the wider spring seat, so you can put Sprinter springs in them, Series one struts have a weird skinny spring seat.

95% sure the shock diameter is too small for any decent sized shock absorber? someone please correct me if im wrong[/b]

LOL righto. I've got ae86 shock in my series one strut so i got NO idea what you going on about? Is that seriously the only reason why they are useless? As for the spring issue, i'm probably going to get custom made springs...

Main disadvantage to them is the brakes. There are no good brake upgrade for them. Why dont you just go ae86 struts?

for skids, just convert them to coilover, you dont really need brakes anyway.

oh and 08ftw, yes the strut dia is the same, shocks are compatible. the thing that the spring sits on (spring seat/perch) is a smaller diameter. meaning that t-18 specific springs are needed.

Yea, i plan on getting custom springs anyway. Not that much more expensive and i can get what ever i like.
