Howdy lads, im looking for a tyre to replace the re001s i used to use on the rear of my sr sprinter. reason i dont want to use the jap made 001s is because they fall apart realy quickly. Im looking for a tyre around the $100 mark. dont rate Kenda comets either.

Has anyone used re002s for drifting yet??

Thanks for your advice!

He's after skidders, friend who has SR Ke70 likes diamond back wheels, say they last for ever without delam.

I've got diamond back on my sil, got them from kmart t&a (cheapest tyre they have), they have zero grip in wet and aren't much better in the dry.

yes i get that ... but believe it or not the rears also need grip. I am sure Eddie knows this and might be the reason why he is using the Re001 to skid on ( i can only guess). So s-drives , a-drives r1 & sports would be on par with the re001.

s-drives more so .. jake jones ( drift squid) skids on s-drives with AD08 up front .

My comment was to steer him away from diamond backs, especially if he used to run re001's and wants similar! ;)

being an sr powered car id say go for the evos they are a better tyre over all and you'd definently have the power to use them to there potential

try some 595 evo's. They only come in 195/50 but felt grippier than the 205/50 RE001's I have tried.
Only $90 a tyre too

i thought zetums were awesome. they just older kuhmo's. always wore all the way to the belts. great grip too
awesome tyre for a 195/50 @ $85 each

or you can go to the kumho ku35 but they more expensive @ $120 a tyre. again same as the zetum. always good grip and wore to the belt
