About DBA

For millions of people, in Australia and around the world, DBA has proven the smart, safe choice in disc brake rotors. Disc Brakes Australia is the 2009 Manufacturer of the year, as awarded by the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association.

In 2009, DBA attained TS16949, the International Organisation of Standardisation’s highest ranking for automotive suppliers. This new Technical Specification standard (TS16949) increases the company’s ability to supply any major manufacturer in the world.

It is the new global automotive standard covering design/development, production, installation and servicing and aligns American (QS-9000), German (VDA6.1), French (EAQF) and Italian (AVSQ) quality standards.

Manufacturing the most comprehensive range of disc rotors in Australia, DBA leads the market in passenger, four wheel drives and light commercial vehicles. As well as standard ‘direct replacement’ rotors, DBA manufactures a comprehensive range of enhanced
performance products. These boast such features as slotting, cross drilling, exotic materials, improved appearance (including coloured centre ‘hats’) and, in the top line series, a highly sophisticated two-piece design.

DBA performance rotors were used in a record number of motor sport categories during the 2008 Australian season, including Formula Ford, Formula 3, V8 utes and rally. Australian Bruce Garland with DBA 5000 rotors fitted to his Isuzu D-Max achieved 11th place in the gruelling Dakar Rally this year. A top effort, netting him first T1/2 Amateur in the ‘car’ class, plus highest-placed Australian.

DBA has developed and patented the Kangaroo Paw ventilation system. This vent system allows greater cooling and recovery time as well as added strength across the disc. Ask about Kangaroo Paw when you talk to our team here at DBA.

Do they do DBA5000 rotors in a BA Falcon size, 298dia 30mm thick? DBA504?

Doesn't appear so mate... There's not even a 5000 ring that comes close in dimension..

Bugger. Using BA Falcon rotors on the race car now, was hoping to use 2 piece rotors.

Have you got any room to move on the dimensions.. ie. could you go a few mm bigger, or thicker, or slightly different hat height etc?

Maybe a touch. What is out there around the same sizing? Bigger would be hard, thicker can go to 1.25" and hat height would need to be roughly the same (or slightly less)

Leave it with me, I'll see what I can come up with!
