Not cool, at all. M20 all the way.

Nice purchase, mate. You got exactly what I was after when I bought my 320i. Will be dope with suspension and wheels.

Just noticed you're in SA, if you ever want a hand spinning spanners, or someone to talk shit about BMW's with, let me know.

people sr20 them all the time. its probably cheaper to just do some headstuds and then turbo the m20 though and you would get the same power.

i love this e30. series 1 is so much nicer than series 2. mtech 1 and respray this car and it will be so pimp. bronzit love also

I know of a full BBS kit, complete with the boot lip, in SA. I think it's in the same colour as your car too.

This is it, before it was removed from the car.

Think the wheels are also for sale. I can give you the guys number if you're interested in either. I would buy the kit myself but I've got a series 2 four door.

Don't bother doing any engine conversions. The car is perfectly balanced with the BMW M20. They handle so good, even with stock boat spec suspension, eh?

If you do any engine mods, just wack a Series 2 head/loom/ecu on yours so you have Motronic injection, then replace the AFM with a Miller MAF sensor kit(it comes with the ECU chip to run it). That will get you an extra 10-15hp and a lot better throttle response. Might actually have some power below 4,000RPM then, lol. Although, starting with an S1 head, it might work out cheaper and easier to just go with an after market programmable ECU like a Megasquirt.

With a little money this would be a more competent track car than your E7, while still remaining a comfortable, inconspicuous streeter. The wonder of E30's. ;)

I'll ask about the kit and let you know. It shouldn't be too much though as Alex is always pretty good with prices.

$800 for the kit, complete with boot spoiler.

Was good to see this in the flesh, definitely a clean example. I'm so jealous, you almost got this as cheap as mine.

Was this the one in the Advertiser around a month ago? I never saw it on Gumtree, eBay, or Car sales and I remember Sven ("svenmate" on here) told me about one in the paper at that price. If this is the one, I'm an idiot for not checking it out.

- odometer fixed with new cogs

- Scored some brand new shocks all round for $50 at the swap meet will go in when i get springs

- still deciding rim choices really like diamond racing wheels on e30's or any thing with dish

- leads and spark plugs done goes way better

- ordered stud kit from states for rims and it has bolts right now which are a pain

- need LSD as open wheel sucks

- Fitted front and rear strut bars improved less body roll now

- painted chrome grill black

thats all so far need more moneys

Nice to see you're getting the basics down.

Depending on how much you want to spend on springs, H&R Race ($500, shipped through Guten Parts), or H&R sport($100-$150 less) might be a good choice. Otherwise, your choices are pretty much King Springs or custom.
