Hey Guys

Bought this the other day, as my girlfriend is in her final year of doctoring at uni, shes indonesian and lives in surabaya, east java.
i thought hmmmmmmmmmm i might buy a car as im here about every 6 weeks, for 1 week..

Specs are (its stock)

1980 DX KE70 corolla
4ku with twin exit manfold
k40
s series diff with a ratio of maybe 4.3 or 4.7 even feels way powerful for a 4k....
one piece tailshaft
GT window trims along roof gutter
icy cold air conditioning :)
no heater (they never need heater here so its not even a option see the blanking plugs)
and it cost a shitload (cars here are a luxury and hold value really well)
was previously owned by a supreme court person

i have ordered a front lip and venetians for it and thats about it. Indo roads are spastic crazy with holes and shit everywhere, so i have no intention of lowering it as it needs all the travel it needs....... haha

the road rules here are give way to scooters, and its common to have cars squeezing past you with mm's to spare... i fear them guard mirrors will get ripped off. My immobiliser is ripping the coil lead out everywhere i go, and i got a nice car cover for it. its pretty neat, needs new front seatbelts as i will be through the windscreen before the slack is taken up lol

no idea lol, its a non metallic chocolate. we shall call him chocrolla

and i said it cost shitloads... about $5000 aussie, u can get cheaper ones but they are really not that good. this one is high priced because its totally original. its not uncommon for them to sell here for 90million rupiah = $9000 aussie

scooters cheap - cars expensive in indo

probably the best place i would recommend for car parts is a place in bangkok... cant remember the name of it but it was the equivelent of 2 australian suburbs with buildings 4 storeys high full of parts, 1j and 2jz's piled in stacks, and this was where i found the quad headlight front and chrome front bar for my wagon from.............

Anyhow got here monday and ripped the front seatbelts out only to find i had brought rear aussie ones, ahhh man haha. so i drove about 7 hours to my wifes house with shit seatbelts, luckily its "independance day" here so the roads are quiet. put my $9 suercheap floor mats in it and my front lip arrived from the uk

and because im a super idiot i wanted to change my shagged front seatbelts to aussie ones, butttttt i brought the aussie rear ones not the fronts. ghaaa

pics when i get a cable for my phone

ahhh my alternator shit itself the other day, holds charge if you drive with the lights and aircon off haha. quite funny pulling up to a servo getting fuel, then having them laughing hard as i push start my car and drive off. its currently at wifeys dads house hes gonna get it fixed. strangely its a external regulated alternator, like the 86 4ac ones... gay. might bring a spare alternator from aussie and convert it and the alternator wiring to aussie spec

awesome car mate,...btw if you frequently go to Indonesia, just bring anything of aussie version ke70 (especially door trims, tacho, and center console) and sell them there, you'll make profit :)

yeah mate i took a centre console over there for this one. the guy i bought the car from sent me the rims on my wagon now, and im going to send him 5 CSX rims, because their model the KE70 GT came out with a 2tg and the CSX rims, so their very rare there in indo. definately a market there for them
