Hey all,

Well I thought I would waste some money and buy myself some 01's for my AE85 :hehe:

Now the problem I have is what offset can I run?? (to give me the biggest dish I can...yes, I am a dish *hore)
Ive searched and searched and searched, and everyone seems to say that some will fit, then some say the exact wheels wont fit, so I am totally lost again lol.

I dont want flares, or aftermarket guards. Lipping is the only thing I want to do.
Suspension wise at present is only lowering springs. I guess/know that I will have to get some camber plates, and maybe some NCRA's? (or just RCA's?)

Im thinking of running 15 x 8 (o-disk) on the front, and 15 x 8 or 8.5 (o-disk) on the rear.
what offset can I go up too???

Cheers
:)

P.S. Heres the link to Works sizing chart: http://www.workwheelsusa.com/media/wheels/30/86/Equip_01_SPEC09A4.pdf

Go RCA's. NRCA are fail.

It all depends on the amount or track and camber you want to run.

I personally would do like, 8.5 -12 and 9.5 +1. Might be pushing it a little, shit it should be fine, just dial some camber in, stock LCA and lip the guards a bit.

Why 15's? I would go 14's for sure with 185 55 or 60's if you are going to run it a little higher.

8 -6, 8.5 -12. should be able to make that work quite well with just the very edge of the lip poking.

any wider and the stretch is a bit much making the tire sidewalls not as "parallel" to the fender flair.

Cheers guys!

Ahh sweet, RCA's it is! lol.
I was thinking of 15's as I do like the looks of them. No real reason otherwise :)

And yea, would like to run a little stretch. was thinking of running 195's to give a little stretch look without going OTT on them.

I'm in a similar boat however for the Work 03's though I doubt there's a difference between the 01's and the 03's.

Anyways do any of the AE86's in the members thread have pictures of 15x8 -6 15x8 -12?

As I'd like to take a look of how they fit before splashing 2k on rims lol

Not quite the same, but this is what 15 x 8 -28 looks like on an AE.

There is only one difference between the equip 01's and 03's. The 03's do have the option for the "T" disk to allow for clearance for big brake kits. (the 01's dont)
These 03's have the "T" disk, so as long as your not running massive wilwood upgrades then you dont need the T disk which will allow for a higher offset without sticking out so far. (T disk centers stick in a whole lot more to allow for the clearance)

If all you want to do is ROLL the guard without flaring at all and have them sitting perfectly flush (not poking) then go with 15x8 -5 ish and 8.5 - 5ish.

An 8.5 -12 would poke a bit on a stock rear guard from memory woudlnt it?

So those rims in the pictures are T-Disk? 15 x 8 -28 with 82mm of lip yes?

I was eventually (down the track) looking to get my brakes upgraded to the T3 kit so I guess I have to take that into consideration.

Would It be possible just to run 15x8 -6 O-Disk and then run spacers? Or is this somewhat dangerous?

Also don't you mean T-disk centers stick out more? IE positive side to allow more clearance? Or am I getting mixed up here.
