Hello AE86DC,
Me and my buddy Blair are working on a little t-18 track car. I refrain from using the term "building" because it's more of a strip it and drive it than a build at the moment.
T-18 was had for $50 each.
in point form the process went a little like this.
- scored T-18 for $100
- managed to start t-18 after hooking u power to the alternator! derrr.
- got it running pretty well with some carby trouble shooting success by Blair.
- noticed the alternator was just floating in there with a belt around it. bolted that up and she was running really well :)
- stripped out the interior. found a steering wheel and boss kit chucked that in.
- made a hybrid seat out of an old broken bride recliner and the base of the standard seat.
- installed some random 4 tonne truck shocks in the rear and cut the springs nearly in half.
- cut a few coils off the front springs. (will revisit the front in the hear future)
- chucked on a set of ssr meshies that i had on my s13
- rolled the guards with a pole (always wanted to give it a go, worked awesomely!!)
- installed takata harness out of my mates gtr.
i think that's about it so far. plently to do. but not much more before we can hit wakefield or EC skid pan / peanut.
crappy phone pics.

this was a miracle holes almost perfectly lined up. just unbolted the stock back, and bolted up the bride back. all features of the seat work. it reclines!!
probably not much more to add than that.
i have a front spoiler for a mk1 gti golf that will go on the front.
wont bore you with to do list but there's plenty on the cards. first things first though... get to Wakfield this month!!
if people have any chassis tuning advice. i'd love to hear it. also interested in what bits can be used from other xE7x cars and ae86 too.
cheers,
Mike
p.s these are my other cars atm.
