Looks good with the front bar man and I really like the plans, but not mega keen on the sticker bombing or the door mirrors on the guards, actual guard mirrors are the go!

I particularly am a fan of the plan for better wheels! go 14's for pure awesome ;)

In my opinion:
Wheels are hideous as is stickerbombing and door mirrors on guards, even the eBay $70 ones look miles better.
I'm so confused about the front. Part of me thinks AE92 bar looks cool and different, part of me thinks you're trying to make it look like a carina and its not working. I think its growing on me though..
How come you used AW11 rack ends? More lock? Can you use them with Toyota front?
Keen to see how the CA conversion goes, was thinking of one for mine..
Plans for new wheels?

Wheels were just too get me rolling again when i did the brake conversion and just never ended up getting anything else haha..
Had too use aw11 rack ends as the standard ones were way to short, put it on the wheel aligner after putting the coilovers etc in and had something like 15 deg toe out! So yeah basically I now have a shit load of lock, and it's awesome! :D
Not sure if you can use them with Toyota front..
Thinking maybe work Ewing meshies, or rota grid v's?
I'm really undecided!

Update-

Goodbye 2s

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/6/0/0/9/258942.jpg

Motor is out, took this photo and realised I have now removed all the Toyota driveline.. Shiiiiiit.

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/6/0/0/9/258943.jpg

Head is back from the shop, decked and bead blasted. I've also since lapped the valves back in.

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/6/0/0/9/258944.jpg

That's it for now until the head goes back on and I get a panhard rod.

Fuck.. It's been a while.

Got a fair bit of stuff done over the last few weeks, motor and box are in for the last time with the mounts all finished off.

In tank lift pump is in, Surge tank and vl pump are mounted with hoses hooked up, s13 fuel lines also in.

Heater hoses are almost finished off and braided turbo lines are in and a few other bits and pieces.

Just need a front mount so I can start making some brackets for intercooler and radiator

Then wiring and a tailshaft, so close too skids :D
Anyway here's a few pics

Hey bro looks good but get rid of that plastic inline filter that's meant for carny cars that use really low psi pumps they are no good on injection

Hey bro looks good but get rid of that plastic inline filter that's meant for carny cars that use really low psi pumps they are no good on injection

Cheers man, it's on the low pressure side (feed from the tank) but it's only temporary.. I've got a proper filter here somewhere just not sure what I did with it

them solid engine mounts looks like a good idea, but will it rip itself off the crossmember?? just asking because using solid engine mounts for a 4age is already over kill for a AE86...just sayin'

I hope not! The crossmember is fairly structural.. Have you seen it happen before?..
I only did it that way because it was so much easier and I found I could mount the motor lower, I did think of maybe cutting up one of those thin plastic chopping boards and sticking that in there..

Edit: forgot to mention the old rubber mounts were flogged out

actually looks really good now man!
Wheels are awesome, whats the sizes and tyre sizes

I think you should get some proper fender mirrors though, they aren't too expensive.
Front kind of works but you need to straighten up the quads and the rolla bar would look nicer if it was pushed forward an inch or so. although this would produce a gap with the fender. but yeh

keep it up

Cheers man, fronts are 15x7 offset is about + 10 I think? with 195/50/15
rears are 15x8 -4 with 195/55/15

Yeahh if some come up cheap I will, I was thinking of maybe running an 86 front bar with a nice lip. I need too make proper brackets for the headlights, atm there held in by 2 bolts and about 30 zip ties haha

I would estimate about $2000 - $2500 tailshaft was the most expensive at $400, pretty much the only thing I couldn't do myself.
i just waited till I found parts super cheap which it is why it has taken so long.
Did already have alot of shit laying around the house tho..

I have a video ;) just shit quality and I dont know how too upload it
