As we host AE86DC on a shared server, occasionally the actions of other websites will impact on us.

Right now, our mail server has been black listed by the anti-spam networks.

It will only cause issued to email notifications sent out from AE86DC to you (PM email alerts etc.)

So if you are wondering why you're not getting an email to notify you about a PM, but you are getting the PM when you log in, that is the issue.

We currently don't have an ETA on getting the server off the black list. It has happened before, but only lasted about a week.

Thanks

You could setup an external SMTP server.
How much do you pay for hosting man? I can help you get setup on a dedicated server for $8/month.

Dedication isn't the issue. We have a server which is part of a cluster which is rock solid, and trust me when I say that a $8 per month server won't handle 2 million page views.

External SMTP would be fine, but I CBF as we already have an internal mail server.

You can expect a PM about webdesign tonight.

It sounds like you're being hosted on a single server, possibly dedicated IP, where the other occupants are not under your control?

I'm referring to: http://www.exigent.com.au/hosting/vps.php
What's your monthly data transfer? 2 million page views is a lot.. where do you get that info? Google stats?

Also the web design job sounds good... let me know details and I'll see what I can do.
I'm already behind on a current job atm thanks to a freaking DNS server not deciding to work. So I mighten be able to start till sometime through Feb

It is a clustered server. Meaning many machines, many websites.

Webhosting is well under control. The issue here is the spam, it will be back to normal in a couple of days.
