Hi guys

Im in Oz/Perth 2 weeks and i had to get myself some transport  I was on a tight budget so here is my daily driver.
Any info about these or popular conversions/modifications would be greatly appreciated.

Its a 2litre petrol manual.

I dont know is the gearbox the original one, reverse is at the top left :S

Anyway, heres some pics.

It is normal for reverse to be in the top left.

Looks like a clean rig, keep it that way.

Do these take ae86 suspension???

Yes they can take ae86 front struts. You will obviously need ae86 steering kunckles which will bolt onto you LCAs, ae86 knuckles wont have lock stops but if you have lower offset wheels, just get rid of the lock stops off the LCA.
You will also have to use the strut top (camber plates) to suit the car (st141)
But you will obviously have to run ae86 brakes, which the are smaller, but if you can run JDM ae86 then they will be vented and may make up for being smaller.

Im not sure about the rear suspension, sorry

*Edit* Why do you want to run ae86 gear?

Thanks for the reply dude.
I have a ae85 at home in ireland with all ae86 running gear and parts would be more readily available for an ae86.
Well aftermarket stuff would anyway, ie bigger brakes, lca kits, etc

I wana 1jz my wagon and have it as a drift car.

Thanks again

I would recommend the xt130 setup. Means you retain the larger diametre discs and also larger spindles. The 86 stuff can work i'd just be worried if you plan to run low offset wheels that you'll be popping out wheel bearings often.

I would recommend getting megan racing coilovers for a MX73/MA61 but they are spindless so you would have to get some spindles welded on and get brakes to suit.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEGAN-RACING-STREET-COILOVERS-TOYOTA-CRESSIDA-85-88-/310417378346?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4846514c2a&vxp=mtr#ht_4283wt_1037

OR You could get RA60/65 struts and make up some custom coilovers.

Both these options will give you a bigger plus vented brakes, and also both options you will have power steering knuckles which gives more steering lock.

*Edit* BC also make coilovers for MX73 apparently http://www.ebay.com/itm/BC-RACING-BR-FULL-COILOVERS-85-88-TOYOTA-CRESSIDA-MX73-KIT-/120960716570?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c29d20f1a&vxp=mtr#ht_5089wt_1037
(Note the photos arent the actual kit just an example photo)

Hey mate,

I've got an ST141 (sedan) myself..
I'd be interested to know what choice you went with on the struts.. and, anything else you might have done, or be planning?? :)

Have fun!

I havent done anything yet. Thinking of buying a drift ready machine atm.
I think ae86 and s13 front fit though.

^^ 86 strut tops don't fit Corona. They are smaller, you'll have to either slightly file out the holes or redrill.
S13 fit fine though.
