Climbing hills!

Hey my car is ready I'm ready I just need to know where and when I'm interested in a practice day or a club comp just to get the feel for my car again ( it's been a while ) what's out there guys ? Cheers

It's been tricky to get info on these events if there is someone out there in Vic who can help I'll buy beer!!!!

You need to join a car club close to you (theres a list on the cams website, theres even a list of cams sactioned events on there) attend a meeting or two, find out what events are on and where and off you go. Very few people.on this website will be able to give you any help.

The MG car club runs events at RobRoy hillclimb in christmas hills every few months.

Check out Ballarat Light Car Club too. Did a couple of autocross events with them years back, they've got their own track (or did back then). They also do hill climbs n motorkhana etc.

This sounds good what surface is the track where abouts to they run hill climbs?

The autocross track that we have in Ballarat is a dirt surface, however the club also runs bitumen hillclimbs at Mt Leura in Camperdown (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=mt+leura,+camperdown,+vic&hl=en&sll=-25.335448,135.745076&sspn=63.190312,78.75&hnear=Mt+Leura+Rd,+Camperdown+Victoria+3260&t=m&z=16). Unfortunately there are no more for the year there as the club ran a round of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship there on 24/25th of March.

Other Victorian clubs that have their own bitumen hillclimb tracks are the Ararat Car Club (http://www.araratcarclub.com.au) (their next hillclimb should be November sometime even though it is not listed on their website yet) and the Gippsland Car Club (http://www.gippslandcarclub.com.au).
