its a 2000 evo 6.5 tommi makinen edition, which basically means its got slightly different suspension than a regular 6, a better turbo that spools faster ( still fairly laggy ), stronger gearbox with shorter gears and the seats say tommi makinen.
i only got it on saturday but im already super impressed, got heaps of power and torque (when you hit boost) rails the corners like you wouldnt believe and has a fairly nice interior, plus when driven sensibly has reasonable fuel economy (9L/100km), also it has a button to spray water on the intercooler :)
downsides - TURNING CIRCLE SUCKS, like ridiculously bad, i drove the titanic the other week and that turned better, loud, it has a straight through exhaust so its not quiet, when not on boost fairly gutless until those 18psi kick in then it really boogies

Did you have to take it through regency since it came from interstate?

Looks great BTW

I haven't taken it through yet but I will have to take it for an id check to make sure its not stolen and I think they have a quick look around the car so ill make the exhaust quiet and take off blow off valve

i find it funny that these run 18psi factory......it just seems like so much for a "street" car.

A mate had a white one of these that i drove a few times......man oh man, it almost convinced me to hand over the green for one then and there.

I also removed the centre diff in that car too.....that was a shit job.....yeah, shit is the word! haha

yeah the 18psi is a fair bit but can be driven sensibly fine as well, also thats safe boost a few guys reckon to put it up to 21-22 psi, but im happy with the power for now :)
i am not looking forward to doing any work on this!! something simple like a clutch = engine out

Nice looking car mate, sadly all Mitsubiahi AWD's have really bad turning circles, I have previously owned a 2000 VR4 Galant and driven about 30 different EVO's and AWD Galants in all body shapes and the are all shocking, lol
Very rewarding drive thought with crazy grip, wait till you do your first 6,000rpm launch, you will love it :)
