G'Day guys,
Unfortunately the day has come where I am posting one of these for my current car. I have owned it for around 2 and a half years and have been streeting it pretty much every day for a little under two years.
I believe in this car I achieved a good compromise between street and track. It has a lot of the nice things for street like a full interior, decent stereo, electric sunroof, low down torque etc. But then it also has the bits you want for the track like the shorter diff ratio, good suspension, decent seat and all of that rear interior stuff/sub woofer etc comes out with about 8 screws in about 15 minutes.
I took a lot of time and effort doing the little things and not cutting corners in this car, for both the engineering and rego process and also because I built it for myself, not to make a quick buck off (in fact I will be losing a boatload but that cars for you).
It is fully engineered (in the street trim) but then will come with the things I run on track/skidpan which include replacement wheels, steering wheel, rear springs, driver's seat etc as well.
If you want more information please refer to my Build Thread (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/14197-quot-We-ve-got-a-Bleeder%21-quot-JDMGTVGZE) or the Carsales ad. (http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/toyota-sprinter-1984-12153009?vertical=Car&cr=5&eapi=2&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294962861% 204294964187&distance=25&silo=Stock&Range=Price:Min,Max%7E1&sort=default)
Of course if you have specific questions you are welcome to PM or post in here too.
Please note in the build thread it may look like it saw a fair bit of track action, but you have to realise I am always going to post pictures etc of track work, but am not going to post pictures every time I drive down to the shops. The truth is I live in Canberra but work in Sydney, as such the VAST majority of driving it has seen during my ownership is on the highway.
This car is complete and should have no problem with going over the pits so it would suit someone who wants to buy a car and start driving straight away rather than tidy up someone else's mess for the first 6 months.
Price Drop: Price is now $12,000. Please realise this also includes the extra parts which on their own would likely sell for around 2k. I am seriously in no rush to sell this as I really enjoy driving it. I realise low-ballers gunna low-ball but seriously you can save yourself the effort.
Price without the Recaro seat or second set of wheels (Performance challengers) is $11,000.
Reason for selling: I now have a second reliable daily, I have also ordered a 2012 Toyota 86 and have been told to expect delivery in October (ie brand new toyota reliability) as such I really don't need two daily drivers. At matsuri late last year I realised I'd really like to have a much more track focused/possibly track only car. I could always just convert this car into a track car, you could argue it would even make more sense than to sell this one after doing a pretty much ground up re-build. However, this is a good package and I don't want to pull it apart. I also don't really want to see it stuck in my garage all the time and not being driven. As such I would prefer to sell it and watch someone else enjoy it then pull it apart and sell off the bits. This is starting to read more like a novel than an ad so Ill leave it there.
