Hi all I'm just wondering of some good grippy tyres in 225/45/17 I bought some fed 595s and they just don't do it for me , I think its because they're 235s and sidewalls flex like a Bitch anyway I'm just wondering of some really grippy tyres semi slicks would be great but cos were coming into winter I want something ok in the wet. It's for an evo

Post this question on an Evo forum for a better group of responses. I haven't driven on 595s but I have used the toyo t1r on my s13 works well in the wet and dry. Safe to say the best street tyre I have driven on.

Semi slicks are not the best then for wet and cold weather..

How much power is this evo pushing?
Is this a daily or track car?
You might want to go just under semi slick in your choice if your wanting the best for normal road and random weather condition.

595 are ok for street
Re001 I found a lot better then 595, good street tyres on the track (re002 would be better now)
T1R never driven with them but they are same if not better then re001, friends had used them before and online reviews are good.

That's my experience anyways

Semis for dry summers, gamble in wet winters, it's an evo it'll drive itself lol

I run Toyo Proxes 4 atm in 195's and I have never had as much grip as I have with these. I ran 235 Pirelli Dragons on my last car, and they didn't come close to the Toyo's!

Toyo T1R or R1R best bang for buck tyre doing the rounds.

Dont last the longest but you get that with softer compound tyres.

At around 140-180 a tyre ive never been on better for that $$

I would look at Toyo R1R's or Advan AD08's both are really good all year round.

R1Rs are the bomb. Three track days, and coming up to two years of daily driving (400 km per wk). Awesome Grip, you wont want more on the street....
