So i have

15 x 8.5
15 x 9

currently have brand new Yokohama S Drives 195/50/15...stretched like a loose goose

i rather not have stretch tyres on these wheels so looking for something that will sit nice and firm

been looking at 225/45/15...and Hankook Ventus R-S3 seems like the best for this size..BUT these are not stocked at just any tyre shop...and google.com isn't helping and Australia pretty much sucks with these tyre sizes

so want to know what is more available in Australia in roughly the same size.. any brands/makes.. must be around 225/45 for 15inch rims, street, semi slicks..no full slicks as its on my daily warrior car, if someone knows a place in Syd that DOES sell Hankook Ventus R-S3 in this size or can get them in, please do tell!!

i dont care about price at this stage, i just need to know what Australia has on offer and who can get them in aus..thanks

I might be able to get those hankooks in stock at work after a few calls to our supplier, which i'll find out on monday, and if not i'll see what i can get in a similar size and still with a decent trye.

Last time I was looking for tyres in this size, Federal 595RS in 215/50 come pretty close to what your after. They're a decent semi slick.

I had Nangkangs 225/50r15s on my 15 x 9's. Sat very well although it wasn't much of a sport profile but still heaps grippyer than 205's.

depending on the offset and how low your car is you are going to struggle to fit a 225 without rubbage.
try and find something without a rim protector, as the rim protector makes them look alot more stretched.
being from nsw. i found qld got alot more sizes then us.
when i had 15x9s toyo proxes 4s in a 205/50 diddnt look very stretched compared to some bridgestone g3s.
even try the new re002 bridgies. they come in a 205/50.
