8mm length difference between LSD & Non-LSD axles. Non-LSD are 8mm longer.

So if you've got an OEM lsd, but non-lsd axles you cut 8mm off the ends (splines are plenty long enough) and bevel/taper the end so it will insert easily.

I found this out a little while back when I had the opportunity with both available to me.

I took a few measurements from the top of the bearing retainer to the end of the axle.
LSD Axles: 22 1/16"
NON-LSD Axles: 22 3/8"

I'm mainly after the length of the Spline'd section.

Can you see the pictures above?

They differ in O.D by over a mm, so the answer is no they arent interchangable at all

Why do people assume tone in text? its fucken retarded!

email, sms, forums, whatever....

I answered your question. No they are not interchangable.

T series Kouki (late model) ~25mm

T series Zenki (Early model) ~24mm

can't fit 25mm in a 24mm hole, no matter how much you cut down the end...

The 8mm difference is aparntly between LSD and non LSD which is completely irrelevent in terms of compatability between zenki and kouki

The reason i asked if you could see the pictures, is becuase without the pictures the post just sais "Zenki T series Axle (as on a celica, same size tho) Kouki T series Axle (ae86)"
which is all i could read when my computer was being shit and not loading pictures properly yesterday. Hence why i asked for measurements in this thread, when there was clearly pictures showing the measurements.

Sorry for trying my best to clear things up for you, as i am too in the middle of sorting out what i need for my diff.
