This is the JDM celica turbo which has been imported at some point into the country.
I had been following this car on toymods for a while until it came up for sale (originally a WA car, then briefly in TAS before I got it up to QLD).
There was a limited number of these cars sold in Japan, mostly as the notchback sedan. I only know of one other liftback in the country. I have only seen one other notchback for sale in the country since 2009.
I have not had it dyno'd yet but I believe it has around 200hp at 10 PSI of boost. The stock 3TGTE engine produces 160hp.

The car weighs around 1200kg.
I will detail all the mods and $$s spent on this car. I have wanted this car since 1997 and I finally have it to the state I want it. Unfortunately my children are now almost school age and I cannot keep this car as a daily driver.
I have spent substantially more than the asking price. Most/all work has been done by GMR - Georgio Mechanical Repairs in Caboolture QLD. Tony Georgio the owner is a long time friend of mine since highscool (over 16 years ago).
GMR can be contacted at 07 54 994880
Would be interested in a well maintained larger family car as swaps at similar value.
To make it perfect I think the following could be added: high power stereo, tinted windows, the MA61 seats retrimmed, wider offset wheels, wire up the electric MA61 mirrors.
I have plenty of spares:
Complete black interior from an SA63.
Front Control arms, steering arms, struts from SA63.
Power steering rack and pump from SA63.
2 sets of wheels (MA61's lovingly restored by myself over many months, blacked and cleared. And the 15x6.5 Volk Mesh).
Rear camber pins purchased from AE86drivingclub.com member
2 doors, 2 front fenders, popup headlights, 2 grills, indicators, tail lights, ma61 electric mirrors.
Strut top plates ready for a custom strut brace (from toymods)
Sports wheel
Distributor with cap and rotor
History:
Purchase $2800
Freight to QLD from TAS $1700
Repaint in original white $1500
Engine Rebuild, brakes, suspension: $10000. Crank balanced, new pedders shocks, low king springs, MX73 cressida vented rear rotors and handbrake cable to match, rebuilt calipers, new pads, new DBA slotted rotors all round, new wheel bearings, painted undercarriage, cleaned injectors, new water pump, milled down head posts to fit ARP head studs (required if you run high boost), rebuilt alternator with new regulator, head and block was milled flat and checked for cracks and material density. Exedy heavy duty clutch. New custom made oil cooler (PWR from memory also).
Turbo upgrade to CT20b, PWR intercooler, stainless piping, silicone hose everything, slim radiator, twin 12" thermo's, new maintenance free battery, 3" dump, 3" exhaust with stainless end ($6500)
Stainless dump, turbo feed, turbo gasket $250
CT20b purchase $600
Wiseco 87mm forged flat top pistons, eagle forged connecting rods $1200 from BRD racing USA
Cometic 3TC MLS head gasket from Paradise Racing USA $120
Engine components from SWC motorsport in NSW - complete gasket set, bearings, seals, chains, guides, etc - $1000
Kameari timing components and cam sprockets - $1000 (Japanese made for the 2T-GEU but works for the 3TGTE, purchased from USA arm. These reduce friction of the chain as it provides sprockets instead of guides and hydraulic tensioner.)
Superpro polyeurothane suspension bushes complete - $250
New Toyota engine mounts - $200
MA61 wheels purchase + restore 5 wheels - $600
Autotechnica flat base steering wheel - $200
Front end conversion to RA65 and wiring by autoelec - $700
New tail light gaskets fitted and rubber strip applied to top of tail lights to prevent common water problem spot.
Edges of hatch sikaflexed to prevent water pooling at hatch edge.
MX83 cressida front lip
Plus labour on this, have receipts. Do the math it's close to 30k.

The americans are getting over 400rwhp out of these engines, I built this engine for that possibility but as a daily driver it has only ever seen 7 to 10 PSI. Has amazing amount of torque and power to weight and a 55/45 weight distribution. I have driven alot of cars and this is the most fun. You can drift it, hill climb, classic rally, daily drive etc it can be used for it all.
I get around 6.5 to 9 L / 100km depending on how I drive it.
I call this car the white go-cart. Has no special luxuries and feels like it has no suspension and you sit practically on the ground.
Not for the novice driver, the tail can kick out very easily after 3k revs and spins wheels with ease. You need to be disciplined and drive this car with care and know your limitations. It is a bit of a speeding ticket waiting to happen as it is definately faster than my 06 forester turbo which does 0-100 in 7.5 seconds. I haven't had time to dyno or 1/4 mile etc as I'm very dedicated to my two children.
This car is my baby and very well taken care of, only quality components down to stainless steel bolts. Cost me over $25k so far and is the car I have always wanted. Something small, light, economical, balanced, low, toyota, powerful, 80s. I have probably missed out a bunch of stuff here but I have been upgrading this car since it's purchase in 2009 to make it what it is now.
No joy rides, I am very busy involved in the mining industry, my time is in need.
Genuine enquiries, no dreamers.
This is the real deal, I couldn't find one how I wanted so I built it how I wanted. Not a replica.
Authentic GT-TR - google it, there aren't many around.
This engine in this model was the first production release turbo engine for Toyota I believe.
So no mod plate needed for this engine in this car.
Car has been successfully registered in several states so all that's required for registration is a proof of purchase and previous registration paper.
Currently insured through Shannons insurance full comp @ $660 per year.
Will arrange safety cert for genuine buyer.
Background info on the GT-TR:
The TA63 and TA64 Celica Twincam Turbo was Toyota’s pick when the WRC switched to Group B regulations in 1983. The Celica Twincam Turbo won six African rallies; three of which were achieved at the Kenyan events and the other three in Ivory Coast. The car was thus recognized as the king of African events. The TA-64 ran a 4T-GTE producing 370bhp. The 4T-GTE was the homologated 3T-GTE. The Group B class was soon cancelled after the general public and some rally entrants protested that the cars were unsafe because of the powerful engines.

No more discussion please, it's actually refreshing to see so many pictures and details in a for sale thread.
