Before you starting thinking of engines I would suggest you do suspension and brakes first, no good upgrading the engine but having a car that handles like crap :)

Yeah all over that, the rear is fairly well ready to rock, just looking at the s13 gear vs the 86 gear in the front. Then the diff will be reasesssed in the way of strength and practicality.

I would definitely go ae86 gear. There is plenty of discussion on here regarding s13 front end, both good and bad. But after all the ae86 is just meant to be and plus with the extra track of the s13 setup I dont think you would have much chance of keeping them wheels on the front.

exactly my thoughts, i have seen the amount of extra track you get of the S13 gear and the 15x8's will be very hard to fit.

It's been a while since i have been on here and i am blown away by the amount of extra tech articles and info *thumbs up*

Ok so its been a bit since an update and not too much happening, so sprayed my wheels black so its a little less attention grabbing from boys in blue.

Also Beau from Field-Garage has found me a nice liitle smallport 16v setup that shouldn't be too far away, until then i have to sort the:
Diff
Gearbox
Tail shaft

and a few suspension arms

Ok so my Weber decided to set itself on fire and melt plastic/foam into itself and me not realising have started and drew a heap of garbage down into the head......

A few valves are fucked and it wont idle, tried everything but i don't think i'm going to bother with this engine now, unfortunately my conversion is moving along a bit faster than my wallet can handle.................

no you cannot - you will need an AE71 pedal box.... or some tricky modifications to make a hydraulic clutch somehow.

OK so FINALLY it's going to come together!!!!

After some discussion with Anthony from Kaizen garage i have decided to get an Adaptronic installed on my baby, he was a massive help and easy to work with!!!

So here goes, he will be installing a whole new engine loom, a new e420d ECU, he is going to hoist my standard dizzy ignition and will be going with the coilpack setup, so 1zz coils and thanks to sam-Q a nice new shiny adapter plate to accept the 1zz coils and a dizzy blanking/dust cover. all this will be getting installed in about 2 weeks YAY...... shitting rainbows!!! cant wait to finally drive my F@#KING car again!!!

after selling my steelies i have been left to find some new wheels, a mate came through with 2 Rays mesh, very happy with them, they were a touch rough in the center so i gave em a bit of clean up and paint, came up a treat i thought

30mm RCA's

and if i win this $500 gift card i will be buying a heap more parts i have on the never ending list LOLOL *cough* T3 4 link *cough*.........

Well all finally tuned, ended up going to Horsepower solutions in capalaba, Justin is an awesome guy and knows his shit!!! we knocked over a full tune from scratch (as the base tune was totally fucked) in about 2 and a bit hours.

Really happy with the end result, pulls real nice through all gears

124.5HP and 162 Ft-lb of torque
