ok so thought a thread was in order here. ive got one on toymods but thisll be a slightly condenced version.

this is when i got it it started life as a single cam auto most of it was in peices stacked inside the body which had to be put back together as i had to keep it outside on the road for a while

after a while it got converted to an 18rg and 5 speed

after having issues with the rear brakes locking on and deciding the brakes werent enough as it was it was put back in the garage.

the original plan was to run this with a 1ggte even before the 18rg but got stuffed about on the first one
so when goldberg put his 1ggte up for grabs i was all over it.

with the 1g in i found the steering box was in the way so i removed it i wasnt too keen on just going single turbo whacking heaps of power into it when im not used to it and also if its stock better chance of the engineer giving it the ok.
currently cobbling a rack and pinion conversion using a rt142 avanti steering collum and a ke70 rack

the later model collum bolts in with practically no mods to the top section but i will have to do something about where it bolts to the firewall.

evo style intercooler was the best fit i could find for it and it doesnt look too bad either.

thats it for now.

Looks like a bit of work ahead. Should be a winner.

lol omg its been a year but alas no not yet I moved house so I had to get it rolling which meant putting the stock steering back in then someone told me you can keep the twin turbo's if you space the engine mount on the drivers side up. anyway it worked and ive got the engine out to repaint the engine bay smooth it out and hide the wiring. setting up the brakes as well which is pug rotors with 4 spot hilux calipers.http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/5/8/2/6/513627.jpg (http://s1099.photobucket.com/user/2004lowlux/media/IMG_0460_zps100102e4.jpg.html)http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/5/8/2/6/513628.jpg (http://s1099.photobucket.com/user/2004lowlux/media/IMG_0461_zps4e40af34.jpg.html)http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/5/8/2/6/513629.jpg (http://s1099.photobucket.com/user/2004lowlux/media/IMG_0519_zps103c7ece.jpg.html)

Great to see another mustard gold corona about to rock around. Good luck. Did you go solid pug rotors or ventilated? Remember torona konis bolt straight in too for good shocks and rt142 rear discs are a bolt on upgrade too. Anything else you want info about just send me a txt n hope i can help out..... just not about the engine though, yours has to many pistons for my liking.... like 6 to many. Ha ha. Nice pics.
