Picked it up last week, rebuilt the ignition system as it was running like shit.

Currently using it for daily as i build my R33 drift car (the u-boat) and pay off some debt.

So no big mods on the cards. Maybe just some low and a few minor touch ups.

Will be looking at an exhaust upgrade, so may be lurking around for some extractors while i am here.

Come on, who doesn't love the sounds of a cammed, carbied K series.

don't bother doing any work to the 4k. please just trust everyone on this.

as for rear suspension,

reset rear leaves and adjustable short stroke shocks are all you need, that's all i had in my panno and shit was sick.

Yeah can't agree more on this.

I built a tough 5K for my car a few years back. Was a quick and sounded insane, but in hindsight I wasted a good $2-3k doing it. I put a bog stock smallport in 2 years ago and it went twice as good for half the price. It would be even more of a waste if you were to do it to a 4K which is 200cc less!

Best thing I did was to replace the stock carb with a 32/36 Weber on the 4K before I built the 5K. Cost about $100 in total and made a huge difference :)

Also, you will have more fun if you do your suspension first!

Wheels acquired. I won them last night.

Now the long wait for them to come from Japan.
