The guys at Ecutek have developed a couple of cool features for both the Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ

Launch Control

For those who don't know what this means, it is effectively holding the car at a particular RPM so you can get off the line quickly. Whilst allot of aftermarket ecu's have had this feature for years, the best part of the ecuteck solution is you adjust the RPM via the cruise control stalk to whatever RPM you want on the fly in small RPM increments.

Here is a youtube demonstration of it in action.

ECUTECK No Lift Shifting

No lift shifting is the ability to hold the accelerator flat whilst changing gears. This both minimises the time to change gears and sounds pretty cool in between changes. It is surprisingly smooth and there are other videos where it is as smooth if not smoother than traditional shifting.

Both of these features have been really well implemented and I'm sure will be popular out on the track.

Another cool feature they have introduced is being able to change the ecu map whilst the car is running...

I'm not sure how useful this would be if you pull into an EPA test area :P
