So I've been trolling these forums for around three years now but have only recently started searching for a xe7x. A couple of weeks ago I finally picked up a car that I was happy with. The car has minimal rust, a few modifications and is overall a good base. I plan to keep the car as a daily for now and just tidy it up a bit, maybe lower it and add a few of my own little touches.
So, the specs
Engine
4A-C backed by a t50,
mild cam
mild head work
re jetted carby
extractors and 2inch exhaust
extreme clutch
short shifter
Suspension

whiteline front and rear sway bars
adjustable panhard
front strut brace
cusco front castor brace
Interior
R32 front seats
luisi steering wheel
Venetians

flat front conversion & quads
T18 front and rear bars
DX tail lights
Some pics, excuse the poor quality

Nice, you sure this is a KE and not an AE?
doubt someone would go to all the effort to put a 4ac in rather than a 4ag!

Yeah, its definitely a KE, i checked the chassis number when i bought it. To be honest i'm not to sure why someone would go to all the trouble but i think the person that did the conversion bought a wreck and transferred all of the running gear into the car. I suppose it makes the 4ag an easy swap in the future but at moment im quite happy with the 4ac as long as its reliable. Im sure u will get bored of its lack of power soon enough!

having a second look, I would have swore its an ae71 with the mirrors and all..
But theres is that little mount for the 4k intake in the engine bay there. So your absolutely correct. 4ac's are great, unrated due to power. But having had a few, their pretty indestructable hah

you think about it 4ac is a good half way point to 4age, later on all you need to do is install 4age fuel and wire, and id prefer to spend money on a 4ac then a 4k

this should clear things up

Its definitely a ke70. It appears to have an AE71 passanger side door thus the mirror and this inscription.

and with a wrecked car, the swap would have been easyy
