As the 2L boxer engine lacked a bit of poke, Manabu Orido took it upon himself to increase the power by dropping in a v8 Lexus IS-F engine into his Toyota 86.

Here is a video of him "testing" the new found power.

Matt that is ....... There are no words . Where do I SIGN , what or who do I need to SELL , who do I need to sleep with ( or not sleep with ) to make this happen. Now this version of the 86 I would buy.
Love the way he can only use part throttle most of the time as it seems to have so much mambo , and when he does give it a bit , smoke city .

Would love to know the actual specs of the donk and drive-train ?

Now where do i get me a set of these

But the engine specs for a stock 2UR-GSE is 4969cc , dual vvti / vte-ie on the intake cam
89.5mm stroke with a 94mm bore
311KW at the fly at 6600rpm
505nm 373 ft lbf of torque at 5200rpm

And also D4-S direct port injection.

This being modified I would expect it to have a few more ponies than stock.

From memory the engine is stock other than cams/exhaust and ecu .. Those videos are quite old

Should do something with the throttle to make it so its not getting opened and closed so ofter, with the v8 should just be able to ease it on and off and keep it going.

A bit of an update on this car...

The lexus motor has been removed and a 7L LS engine installed in its place. The LS7 is 50kg lighter than the Lexus engine and has been converted to a dry sump setup and custom cam installed.

Hope you enjoy the video of him shaking it down, he seams a little happy with the torque and being able to drift in pretty much any gear
