Scap metal pick up of a car for cash

well ive finished ripping out the parts fro my ke70 that im wrecking, and i need to get it picked up, but i want cash for it ive had a car picked up before and had the promise of money but the guy never came up with the cash, i called sims and they said i was to far out of the way (mitcham area) just wondering if anyone knows of a good place that will pick up a car and give you money for it or am i better cutting it up with a quick cut and doing it myself, and i dont want to pay $80 for a car trailer

^ Very true new steel price has dropped heaps lately, scrap is worth virtually nothing at the moment.

Denron Metals at Thebarton. They used to pay $150 a ton and they picked it up for ya.

Now they just take it.

about 6 months ago car bodies fetched about 300-400 a tonne. when the economic crisis hit that price dropped to 50.
