Built some custom struts for it out of 120Y, S13 and VW gear, rercaro seats, nardi, bigport 4AGE, T50 etc. still a bit of work to get it finished.
Its a pretty mint shell, no rust, should go hard.

Moar pics!!! Jdm styled Datsun's are insanely good

Few more pics coming soon, fitted a maddat swaybar, hydro clutch kit, blocked off injector holes, rwd water shit is all done.
Still need to do the fuel system, wire it up and mite run a new exhaust on it.
Just bought a lsd for it and a few pairs of 14s hanging to skid it,

Did you put the 4a in yourself? I'm currently doing the same conversion in my ute. Which funnily enough looks exact same as yours haha. What did you use for engine mounts? Was thinking of just doing flat bar but curious to hear on what was used on this one

Killa, post some pics up.
Made em myself. Right side from scratch and left side modded A series mount then shortened the stock A series mounts on the x member. Ae86 gbox mount you gotta cut the datto ones out to fit t50

were you able to use any of the toyota rwd exhaust? did any of it fit in the engine bay?

Undeez
22nd February 2013, 01:56 PM
haven't driven it it joeschmo but have a feeling that the cops are gonna hate me, im probably gonna "move" back to melbourne and get on club rego there as SA Rego is a fucking joke, i work away 6 months of the year so wont be driving it that much anyway.

I bought the setup out of another 1200 ute but it was a bit of a lebo western sydney home job so i have pretty much changed everything. It come with an exhaust but only gonna keep the extractors and scrap the rest. No idea an AE86 exhaust manifold would fit, see if you can borrow one and trial it. there is a fair bit of room there.
Plan is to keep it as quiet as possible and get all the noise out of the carbs. I reckon ill run it 2" with a few mufflers, go under the diff with some blast pipes.

Cool rig!
I like the woodgrain wheel better. Progress?

Undeez
16th April 2013, 10:44 PM
Yeah fair bit of progress, finished the wiring, put a new clutch fork in, got it turning over, fuel system done. Still a lot of work to do, need to build diff, sort rear suspension, exhaust and mount radiator and thermo*s

The Woodgrain will be going back in and a different shifter
just bought this to go where the clock was, and have matching oil pressure, oil temp and water temp omori gauges to go either on the glovebox lid or where the stereo is.

Bit of progress, after setting the timing, putting in some brand new plugs and fresh fuel it started up first pop. Pretty stoked.
Have dropped my leafs off to get lowered 3"s, reset and some solid steel blocks made up to slam the fuck outta it.

Also fitted the tacho where the stock clock was, snug fit. Omori water temp gauge on the way.

Fitted AE86 TRD 2 Way Lsd to the 1200 housing, bought a badass lathe and machined up an adaptor to bolt it to my tailshaft.

Im off working away for a couple of weeks, when i get back the remaining eBay shit will have arrived, springs will be done and ill be able to backstreet it to the exhaust shop n skid it home Yeah Roy!!

3 year build coming to an end!

Still gotta get some custom blocks made for more lows, gonna get a custom tail shaft built as there is a bit of a vibration there that im not happy with and getting a custom mechanical 2ndaries dizzy built.

Thinking about selling it so if you're keen shoot us an offer.

Thanks man, your truck is looking rad!

Need to get the Ignition sorted for this thing, think a custom mechanical secondaries setup is the way to go.
Then gotta fit up the new fuel pump and regulator, final mount the gauges, knock up some lowering blocks and its ready to party!

I sold the Equip 01s and have a matching set of Longchamps now.
Will do an Update in a couple of weeks when I get back home from work.

Bought this to keep me busy

Got my truck back home after spending a year locked away like a gimp in a shed.

have got Rego sorted for it, ordering some parts to get the ignition sorted and keen to get skidding for summer.
Bolted some matching Longchamps on and got some 155 55s for the front, will make up some solid 1.5" blocks to get the rear level.
Not much left to do.

flip the second from bottom leaf and put it on top, much better than blocks, less axle tramp, lower, and firmer but not rock hard like blocks
