Hey, this is my Panel Van. Big plans, little bank account.

130,000 KMs.
4K-C --> K40 :(
Working A/C ;)

Primarily stock; MA60 Supra seats & MA60 Supra wheels.

New exhaust from the manifold back as I snapped the stock exhaust with a fairly large key banger.

Currently sourcing parts for a 4AGE conversion.

Enjoy.

I cleaned it for a change.

My water pump is broken so it's now throwing a little bit of water, so I'm using that as an excuse to start sourcing parts for a 4AGE swap.
I also really need to do my brakes when I get the time, they are getting horrible.

New front pads and rotors went in yesterday, the car actually stops now. Had never done brakes before yesterday - incredibly simple once you get the jist of it.
Also replaced the water pump (Hopefully my engine bay stops getting caked in rusty gunk).

Looks like I'll be making a change of direction in my swap - looking into a 3T-C conversion.

if ur gonna go with a t series conversion go a 2tg. more revs, better carby sound. theyre a pretty fun lil motor. mine used to go hard

haha thats deffs a win but for the price to build one u may aswell go 4age. at least you can get 2tg for cheap and running. i bought most of the stuff needed for one n still changed to 4age haha

The main motivation to go 3T-C is for a bit of power gain whilst keeping a seemingly stock engine in the car.
I have looked into a 2T-G but I'd be far better off just going 4A-GE from that point I think...

I still have the time it takes me to make a decision whilst sourcing conversion parts because they're pretty much universal. Which is handy.

Cheers for the input though mate, I'll hunt you down for advice if I go down that road.

I've got a 3tc in my ke70...love it...keeps up with modified smallports if you commit to the corners

Stock engine? That's what I wanna hear...
I'd just be looking at 32/36 weber, extractors and exhaust...

Yeh stock engine with a 32/36, extractors, exhaust, recurved electronic dissy and MSD ignition box...the j160 6 speed and 4.3 diff most likely help it along tho

Little engines love a good thrash and cheap for performance parts thanks to the states

performance parts are definitely cheap as tim mentioned...i have a stash put aside for mine when the time comes...

schneider 284F cam
schneider pushrods
schneider retainers
schneider lifters
schneider valve springs
supertech 3mm oversize valves
38/38 weber
offenhauser intake manifold
supertech 88mm 10:1 high comp pistons

should be fun

Yeah, some of the guys over there build them into absolute monsters!

Do you know what kind of power output you're getting at the moment?

Delazy

Never really bothered putting it on a dyno...Regardless of the figure it's fun to drive, bucketload of torque...it takes hills with ease in 5th/6th gear and much the same overtaking...

I've never tried drifting it, mainly due to it having new re001 on it...bit too grippy for the old girl...some rubbish tyres and it would do alright I'd think

B-Lugg
20th May 2013, 06:38 PM
I would be look for grip with this one, it won't be drifted...
Sounds alright though, hopefully I get down to Melbourne soon so I can have a play around with my brothers one to see how it goes.

Cheers for the info dude.

EDIT - and by saying it won't be, it probably will...

I got my leaf springs reset and chopped the fronts. I'm just going to get some new shocks and AU springs for the front for now. Rear needs new shocks. Looks pretty cool.
