Since the previous picture was not approved for my replica for the slowly sideways,
i am looking a championship winning car(or second) or who has driven in wrc rally who made an impact
and it has to be close to the following pictures(i know almost impossible :( )

You need to have a driver/codriver who has driven the car like shown in the picture.

Ove Anderson who ran TTE died a few years ago. Not many factory AE86 competed in this category in Japan, they were mainly used for circuit in N2 and Grp A. The rally teams used the TA60 series Celica during these years not many AE86.

Yes indeed,i can find absolutely nothing about japanese ae86 in the rally,very frustrating.
this is the only info i have found,im starting to wonder if they were only used for promoting purposes ...

As far as im aware the TRD Team Toyota AE86 Rally cars are now owned by Toyota and in their Show House in Tokyo. I personally seen them there back in 2005, I also seen them in the Toyota Show House in Paris in 2009 so aparently they use the vehicles for promo purposes.

Can't find anything from other teams like advan yokohama etc etc
I know they have done rally but with an ae86 i dont know

Team acp a a group privateers did the paris to dakar in 86 in a ae86. Not the above cars but nevertheless you may find it interesting.

Photobucket's being a piece of shit and won't let me upload photos but here's one photo of a rally car a guy in australia built. Has no affiliation with Toyota as far as I remember. The other photo isn't very exciting, just the car sitting in the driveway.

Dude used to hang around on toymods but that was so long ago, I don't remember which one it was although I think it was old toymods. Think his name was steve???

the sprinter in the last post belonged to ben cullen , from sydney . he sold it about 4 years ago to a guy in tassie and im not sure where it is now.there is a car in wa for sale at the moment its pretty basic and along way off a trd car but a great starting point.

I saw some wrc footage from 1986 and there were privateers running ae86 but yes to my knowledge ta6x series celica was used by tte and was dominant in the more reliability based events like the African rallys.

A lot of privateers used them, often in toyota livery, starting in the late 1980s.

The first few pictures are of the TRD machine. The drift king drove in n2 and as far as the body kit goes you can find replicas for 1000+. But I'm not completely sure about the push bar with the lights I didn't really get into rally scene. :gah:
