Rego'd and on the street.
Never driven 4K before, best learn to enjoy the ride, coz White Dxx ain't going nowhere real fast!
Its so slow......Nah serious it painfully slow.
Got some time off over Christmas, 20V Engine, WSeries box, ECU make it happen.

Updates:
4K and K50 out
4A Engine crossmember in
Need to source"quality" spigot bearing for W Series

OK, so I called every Repco, Walkers Auto, Aussie Auto, Autobarn in area (no Bursons near me) as NPC and Direct are shut until monday.
None stock Narchi or NSK pilot bearing 6001 2RS WTF, all have same Chinese poo.
While I was sulking I was cleaning up to new engine and noticed that the timing belt tensioner spring was just dangling loose.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/7/7/7/6/523165.jpg +
So I stopped in my tracks, got a pair of needle nose pliers and went about re attaching it to shaft with groove poking out thinking problem solved.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/7/7/7/6/523166.jpg
But when I did this, its is still loose
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/7/7/7/6/523167.jpg
Spring does not sit in groove and locate with tension.
Is there a circlip that goes on the groove to prevent spring coming off?
or do I replace spring with new one that fits with tension
Or manipulate the existing one to take up slack - as it will just fly off again as is?

I probably should search tech questions before I ask here....hmmm

I'm lucky it has not caused any damage as I drove donor car before parting out...
Read a few differing opinions, some say keep, some say ditch.
Ditch for now, timing cover stays off, new one soon.

Is the spring not to just keep tension on the pulley for when fitting the belt? As in it dosent determine the tightness of the belt therefore ditch it...:D

Roger!

Paul, I just realized, the 20V rear end plate (2mm sheet metal goes between engine and box) has starter hole on opposite side for FWD.
I was like, aye, all good got a couple of 16V's here, but they both FWD as well?
I take it I need 4AC one or JDM RWD.
Or I butcher 20V one?
I go do a search in tech, got to have been covered.

Motor and Box in.
Pictures will follow.

I stuffed around with a Howe hydraulic release bearing set up from my 1UZ W57 set up, but I could not get it to work with A-Z customs adapter and T50 Bellhousing.
A-Z adopter is ~10mm thick, and this is why you have to use a pilot bearing spacer with it.
Combined with T50 Bellhousing I had to space the release bearing ~65mm to reach the pressure plate, and it did not leave enough collar for the bearing to sit on safely.
I would have to take ~5mm out of the bellhousing face, and still think it would not work right.
I ended up doing away with it and just used the JDM T50 bell with slightly modified T50 fork to clear the adapter studs.

I believe you could set up the Howe unit with a Nitesparts Bellhousing.
Ed from V-eight.com forums has a nice bolt in bracket that mounts off the input shaft cover for a quarter master unit.
This type of set up has the potential to work with A-Z set up, as it does not rely on the W series collar.

Steering sorted.
Drum brake series 1 T18 Zenki T series acquired.
Hunting for an aftermarket LSD center for right price.
Anyone have experience with the Tomei LSD, price is good, but why $250 cheaper then KAAZ unit?
Can't find anyone praising it on this site.
Are the spare parts easily come by?

Coils in, wired, but not finished.
Waiting for Sam Q adapter to arrive.

I bought a 16/20V RWD header off ebay but it didn't fit around the head PS side rear water outlet.
I had to grind some out to make it work.
For my troubles Ebay seller slung me a roll of red exhaust wrap.
Looks pretty flash now!

Just need to mount the fuel pump and plumb it up and she's ready to start.
I don't want a pump sitting in the boot with fuel hose and random holes drilled shit every where kinda look.
There is a cavity behind the stock fuel tank - between the tank and the panhard rod mount - looks like it could house a decent sized fuel pump. It also has good acess to the fuel and vent lines.
I was thinking of putting some nut certs in and mounting my 040 pump just there.
Is this the most common place to install pump and pre pump filter?
Any reason why I shouldn't aim at this spot.+

Cheers,
Ali
