R&D Mechanical are one of Adaptronic's South Australian dealers. We can supply, fit & re wire (full/custom engine looms).

We have Adaptronic ECU's in our race cars and find them so easy to use and tune; Adaptronic grows with your car allowing future add ons etc.

Recently we installed the new Adaptronic 440 universal Select ECU to a customers AE86 that we did a turbo conversion on. It had an old 80s Haltech ECU which was very hard to tune using a DOS type computer (very, very old). This ECU it only made 150kw with a T25 turbo, 264 cams, intercooler, exhaust and low boost. We made a brand new wiring loom using Adaptronic's 2.0M flying loom with the existing plugs (no cutting and soldering wires here, we dissembled each connector and did it properly). After completion we took it to the tuners and managed to get 170kw out of the little 4AGZE an extra 20kw from the Haltech!

“3D” Fuel and Ignition maps (as on any sophisticated aftermarket ECU)
Full 360 or 720 degree ignition or injection control (end of injection timing), unique to each output
16 Analogue inputs (defaults are MAP, TPS, coolant temp, air temp, oxygen sensor, and spares)
