Hey guys,

Most of this info was pulled from the old forum.

The start:
- Bought a ke70. 1984, sky blue, grandma spec, 4k that doesn't idle http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/../board/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif
- had rims (sil offset Watanabe) and 86 sus in ther within an hour of buying it :P

The Plan :
- was gonna go CA18det then stomps86 "convinced" me to go a 4agze, then " may as well turbo it" so there you go
- suspension wise was gonna be sil conversion up front and trd in the back
- driveline w-series gbox and f-series diff

Where I am up to:
- ze is in and has a nice t25g and china s-steal manni hanging off the side
- running stock ecu just until I can get it to tuner to install ems stinger.
- suspension Front [ca hubs, d2 shocks(cheap scd/hnd),tein camber tops], Rear [ TRD blue shocks, trd 6kg springs
-jap t50, for the moment, trd short shifter
- diff is a rare s-series 2 way, will prolly sell it before i thrash it though.
- rims got 2 sets of sportmax
- hydralic h/brake
- custom pwr radiator
- fuel surge tank setup running VL turbo fift and pressure pumps, malpassi fuel reg
- custom dash sproting a full set of auto guage smoke gauges (just for the rice of it all!)
- and a lot of custom goodies yet to be finished.

Things to do:
- wiring :(
- driveline changed to w box/ f diff and custom tailshaft
- stinger ecu installed
- paint, black and metallic red

**** updates *****

Haven't really done much recently stack with a lot of small issues and getting 1 wrong part that drags everything back, grrrrrr

Got the boot fuel system sorted out with plenty of help from stomps, looks pretty good now. Running a combo of vl turbo lift and pressure pumps and a serl catch can.

Also started on the dash, CBF trying to fit everything into the stock dash, so 1 pice of ally and a set of brand spanking autogauge gauges, kill switch and blue buttons it all looks pretty sweet!!!

surge and pump setup:

Dash setup (mostly wired, damn I hate wiring!):

ahhhhhhhhhh, so close to starting the beast but sooo much fiddly shit to finish before we can. ahhhhhh.

- custom cooler piping to be made/installed (for v-mount)
- once thats done I can fit the grex oil filter relocator/cooler and piping
- once thats done i can measure/fit up the turbo oil/waterlines and the fpr
- and then there is wiring the interior and other crap before we can start it and take it to have aftermarket ecu installed

now the issues, god dam dump pipe wont fit!!! wanted hectik separate screemer pipe and id wont fit within the chassis rails DAMN,so need to have that fixed
- wiring is a pain in the ass and cbf
- lots of body work to do, not that i mind coz it is pretty easy just time consuming.

... and the worst thing is that i am 2 weeks down of my 3 weeks annual leave and I have barely touched it!!!!!

just want it finished, need motivation and it is so much easier to look at the car while drinking beer than actually finishing it.

ahhhhhhh

need kind motivational words to get my ass away from watching the 3 2 and a half men series i just got and finish car!

/rant :)

k, got a few things done now:
- FPR fitted, just need fuel filter now and I am done with the fuel system
- got dli fitted with leads
- slowly piecing the car back together, so it actually looks like a car and the front guards dont fall off all the time!!

had a couple of cans of rattle gloss black lying around and wnted to check out what it might look like when painted (and see how many dings were in the doors!!!

doesn't look half bad :P

running standard T series drums for the moment. I will be upgrading to a r31 disk rear end so it should work quite well just hooked up to the r31 callipers.

I wanna test it and see how the hand brake goes before investing on a second caliper arrangement due to the cost involved, and seriously the costs just keep mounting with this build!!!

Hey Guys, Mini update.

I have finally pulled my finger out (well since my mate said it could no longer stay at his house unless it is finished by the end of june!!!) so I have bitten the bullet and getting the guys at WTF auto here in Perth to wire-up a Haltech Platinum Sport to get the beast running, as well as a few odds and ends that would be time and cost effective just to get them to do.

The reason I am goin haltech is because these guys have put them in many cars and should end up being cheaper because there will be less labour than getting another ecu installed...hopefully.

But before that I have a lot to finish:
- cooling system including turbo and header tank fitting
- Dash needs to be redone and gauges fitted properly
- rear brakes need to be hooked up to hydro handbrake
- suspension needs to be raised (to get onto the trailer) and tie rod ends refitted, after the basted that stole them did not refit the new ones before he moved to melbourne.

And amongst all this I need to source an r31 diff before I can get it dyno'd so I dont blow the rare s-series 2way thats on it now. I might have to get the car running on a base map before I get diff and tailshaft fitted. but we shall see.

Anyone know the diff codes and ratios for r31 diffs? I havent come across them yet?

i know that the pintara diffs are 4.1, and its a borgwarner
this might help also http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?title=R31
