Stretching tyres

would i be able to stretch 4.5inch tyres over 7inch rims?

what are you trying to do?

firstly what size rims? 13x7 14x7 15x7?

what profile tyres? 145/65 145/70? etc...

in short, it all depends on what profile, tyre width, rim size etc... yes youll get strech but youll get more strech the lower profile you have.

ahh, thats better... you might not get much at all to tell ya the truth... slight... very slight. i put some 175/60 on 14x7's the other day...

if you want strech on a 14x7 165/55 or 165/60's will do it (have a decent amount of strech) just got to watch it in QLD as your tyre dia. can go 25mm lower and 15mm higher i think?

these are 165/55 r14 on 14x7's on the front of this.

its more pulled tightly than a stretch though. ive dont it on 14x7 with a 175/60.

yeah... pretty much what i was trying to say...

if you want real strech... drop a width or two... say 145/70's on 7's, youll keep the hight of the car (147/70's are pretty commony as well) and get strech... or drop the profile... 165/55 or even 155/55's (155/55's will give you strech on a 6) but the over all hight will drop the car and thoes tyres can be alittle more expensive... i federal fd-1's 165/60's for 81 each... a mate got falken z329? 155/55's for 68 each i think?

yes they will fit, but you will be running an undersized (illegal) tyre that voids your insurance and also gives you shithouse grip.....

Yeh 175 onto a 7 is just flush.

you need atleast 8's to get any decent amount of stretch

He's just sick of people asking if they can 'stretch' tyres onto some skinny little rims, because its pretty gay. Lets face it, your 7s aren't likely to have significant clearance issues anyway, so theres no need to run tiny tyres to make them fit, its just skidder wannabe rice.

i'm going 165/65 on my ma's on the rear because my guards are max rolled and they still rub on big bumps and flared guards look gay. 4k loves it anyway

NOTHING HOTTER THAN STRECHING TYRES ONTO 7" RIMS... but your car needs to be small to make the 7's look massive like an alto, micra, mira ... kei etc.. :P
