Who would own the record here???

I'm currently at 18 months and counting without much happening on one of mine.

I took 7 1/2 years. Ground up rebuild starting with bare shell. Spent about 10k a year.

Depends what you classify as a 'build' I have had my 86 for probably 5-6 years now and it is always in a constant state of evolution, always doing work and always improving, but does that mean that the build never ends?

Slide86 would win this hands down

+1 for slide86 having the longest actual continuing 'build' having never reached the road or track.

Surely it's coming up on 10 years now...

LOL

look at all these amateurs.

Purchased car in 2003, drove for 6 weeks.

Spun 2 main bearings.

Removed engine to rebuild.

Has not been regoed or driven since.

Spend money on it every month.

Take a bow

End thread

Nah, it kinda is. Have a squiz at his very sporadically updated build thread. The thing is serious.
