hello.

so, just wonder if anyone can post a side on shot of their ae86's with jdm headlights, so i can see how proud the lights are from the bonnet.
i never really noticed with the adm lights because they are all glass and you cant define the corners. but with the black eye lids they are much more pronounced.
ive looked through heaps and heaps of pages of google images and forum builds and some look like they are perfect inline the with bonnet and some look like they sit proud.
can ya post some side on shots for me ? cheers.

A simple yes or no will work too.
If its that difficult.

mine sit flush under the bonnet nice all the way round and the body is pretty shabby with cable ties.
all the plastics sit under the front with all the headlights under it from top or side view.

probs a few too fat washers near the centre front mounts. try and just follow the line of the indicators corner of the front the side view as you say, hopefully they are straight with the fenders. the grill goes fender to fender so if nothing else will budge just shorten the headlight plactics to match the indicators and the grill should be easy to push further under thats what i did and comes out looking better then stock as most genuine stock ae86 have some mixed curved and straight front mounts from different rads n such.

probably no help

thanx man !from indicator to indicator, all lines up nice. just sticks out further to the front. the only way im going to get the lights in, is to push the rad panels towards the rear of the car, to get the lights to sit flush with the bonnet.
ill leave the adm lights in for now as they look better.ill tackle the rad panels at another date.cheers !

from this view they look ok.http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/6/8/7/7/540642.jpgthats why i wanted a side shot like my OP to see others.

You may need to give the mounts a tweak or the radiator support skirt may need a slight tweak with a block of wood and a mallet, or you could live with it

no problem, car looks sick in blue with the grill. are you planning on going to any events? would be sweet to see in person :)

edit for dodgy DIY you can bend the bonnet latch plate mount and fit the grill to that by itself and cant sit however you like but you then need to pull back the headlights to make it sit properly anyways

Hello newbie here, i think the headlamp and front grill is too far forward. it should be aligned with the hood.

this is how it look on my car :)

thanx guys !
removed the rad, and got some different pieces of wood and mallet to push back the rad panels around the headlight supports, and played around with the corner headlight mounts.the car must of been in a front ender and when they pulled it out, pulled it too far ?
much happier with it now.
