The car will be tested in the coming weeks with the first rally the Middel of May in canberra . We hope to get 240bhp and the car will weigh less than 1000kg. It's been built for mainly gravel rallying but I will do tarmac rally's and maybe some drifting .

Just a standard 6 speed for the moment but the car is tunneled and fabricated to take a 6 speed sequential .

Ya its built as a club rally car . The shakedown didn't go to plan the engine let go 4km into first stage. It was a motor I got off a forum 2 years ago and we didn't even open it so not too disappointed. I'll build a engine now for next rally . We got 235bhp at flywheel with the last engine on Link engine management so I'm hoping to get an extra 40-50bhp with a decent engine . The car revs to 10500 so it sounds crazy coming through the bush !!!!

We will be doing a gravel Rallysprint at eastern creek motor complex on the 27th of June . It will be a good littel test for the car before the next round of the NSW rally championship in Batemans Bay .

It it will be a great event to spectate at .

10500rpm does sound like a hell of a lot!

Surely a rally motor with more mid range revving to 8500 would better suit the application?

This guide, and some other scattered places around the internet say you can use a MKIV golf caliper for the rears, which is true... But you can't use the bracket/slide from the Golf. Instead, if you do this you want the Audi A4/Volkswagen Passat (https://viewcart.fr/) calipers of the same vintage. They are the same caliper as the Golf, but with a different mounting bracket. Those fit after drilling the factory brake caliper mounting plates, and putting a spacer in between the plate and the caliper bracket (washers do work, but will have people questioning your sanity). The brake hoses from the A4/Passat are also required (the end will match the hard lines on the AE86), unless you want to get custom ones. The discs required are Nissan P10 Primera/U13 Bluebird 258mm solid rotors with a 4 x 114.3 stud pattern - watch out that you don't get 4 x 100, Nissan made the exact same rotor with that stud pattern for other vehicles. From memory I think you need some hub centering rings too, the centre hole of the rotor is larger than on the AE86 axle.
