Hello fellow AE86DC Members.

A while ago I built this Micra from standard. I loved it to bits. The combination of practicality, reliability and style encapsulated me. It got all the right attention and at the time it seemed to be one of the only Micra's in South Australia that was heavily modified. But, the time came to move onto something with more power and rwd. I entered the realm of S Chassi SR20 S14 and could not be happier but deep down inside I still yearned for the K11 Micra.

This story began from a conversation with the missus. She has chronic lower back issues and has been wanting an automatic car for a long time as manual is getting harder to drive for her. I didn't want another 'MOTS' (Mode of TranSport). I wanted something that was unique. Something that I was proud to drive. Her criteria was Auto, Aircon, Radio, Hatch. I just added JDM into the equation. I found this Micra k11 on Gumtree and instantly wanted it. It had the very unique VCT auto (think scooter transmission) with only 75,000kms on the clock. I shit you not, an old lady owned vehicle from new. We arrived to view the car and to my surprise there were already 3-4 other people looking at the vehicle. I had to move fast and quickly looked over the vehicle, took it for a test drive and agreed on a price. Sold.

Now, since I had owned a Micra previously I knew how I wanted to modify this one. Coilovers, JDM rims, lowered, big Nismo wing. I sourced parts from japan and began the build. One and a half months later the car was transformed and my partner could not be happier.

Modification include:

- Work Equip o1's. Completely refurbished. Front 14x7+23, Rear 14x7+10 with 165 55 R14 tyres.
- D & D 40 way adjustable coilovers.
- Whiteline Adjustable Panhard Rod
- Nismo Rear Wing
- Hyundai Getz Front Lip.
- Heavily rolled and flared rear guards.

Hope you like it.
