Our 60 year anniversary has been a year of reflection to see how far Bendix has come since 1955, when it was founded. Mintex, as the company was originally known, was established to meet the needs of Australian motorists, and is still going strong 60 years later! Over those years, Bendix has continually introduced innovation after innovation, and 2015 is no exception!

A major release this year from Bendix has been the all new Bendix Catalogue App. This new app puts the trusted Bendix catalogue available on your computer, directly onto your phone or tablet for use wherever you are. Additionally, it gives members exclusive access to the MyBendix members area, and keeps users up-to-date with the latest technology updates. The app is available now for free from your phone’s app store along with our other app, the Brake Pad Identifier!

This year we’ve also continued the Bendix Test Pilot Program, following the success of the program in 2014. Not only have we installed the appropriate Bendix brake pads in multiple participants’ cars, such as a 2003 Holden Astra TS and a Mitsubishi EVO 9, but we’ve included mechanic tips and demonstrations on how to correctly test and change brake fluid. We’ve also explained why doing so is such an important process.

And that’s not all! Also new is the way Bendix identifies its brake pads. You’ll now find all relevant brake pad information on the edge of your pad, so that all relevant information stays clearer, for longer.

There’s also been many positive steps made by the Australian Auto Aftermarket Association (AAAA) in pursuit of fair vehicle data sharing. The most recent update is the creation of a data sharing incident reporting portal, which you can read about in this edition of Newsbrake (http://clixtrac.com/goto/?217664)!

On top of all this, there’s over 30 new part numbers Bendix has added to its already extensive range, and numerous new application references to keep you up to date with the ever-changing automotive industry. All this and more can be read about in this edition of Newsbrake (http://clixtrac.com/goto/?217664), so we hope you enjoy reading it!

The Bendix team wishes you all the very best for the holiday season, and hopes you stay safe on the road!
