DRFTR86 got his old monster 4age tuned there from memory, pm him and ask who he took it too cause he seemedto be happy with the outcome

trent from status is pretty good

i took my car there a while ago, as it turns out it was too much of a problem for his facilities as he was burgled the week my car was there and they stole his tuning laptops so he referred my car on to toyospares to be fixed (which was very good aswell but expensive)

he offered me a free dyno test and tune after it was all fixed

i am confident he knows his engines very well and would be a good tuner and i plan to take my car back there when i get my new engine management

Trent is the only person that tunes at Status, I'm sure he doesn't let others play with his Dyno, not the cheapest toy in the world.

your question should be answered after a little more detail, like what ECU are you needing tuned?

I'm confidant in Trent's ability to tune most ECU's but like every tuner his better with some rather than others.

I took my sprinter there for them to double check some things on it.

THey had it for roughly have a day and didnt charge me a thing, so i think theyre real value for money.

hitoriko,

Can I ask what been done on your car? Reason I ask is I'd like to see how the E-manage performs with the 4AGE depending on mods. I've got a Small port 4AG and looking at ITB's installed, tuned by Trent. Probaly won't happen until later in the year though.

mine is going to be very basic:

Head - Reco, portpolish, 3valve grind - dpending on price larger valves, double valve springs
Cams - 256in 256ex, custom cam gears
Block - overbore 40thou, TK pistons, bigport rods, bigport crank all balanced etc..
Exhaust - Std manifold into 2 1/4" exhaust system
Intake - Cut Shut RWD manifold (or ITBS i have the ITBS but not sure if i can be bothered mucking around, haven't decided)

as i said basic

i got smallport 4age with S/T quads

around 256 cams
cams wheels
0.8mm head gasket
port polish head
over sized pistons
blue e-manage
and some other stuff

i took it to ART......they charged $800 for installing the e-manage and tune....but the head gasket blew.

after i fixed the gasket i took it back thinking it'll just need a little bit of tune.....but no.....to took them 4 days and charged and other $800

outcome:.....i can ride my bike faster under 3000rpm......and with round 92kw@wheel at around 6000rpms.

I used to work at Autobarn HQ so I got it heavily discounted, almost cost.

and I haven't used it yet, and I won't be using it on a 4age any more either, it will be going on my 1uz Celsior.

I just like the idea of being able to have 2 different tunes at the flick of a switch, in my case a power tune and an economy tune

Awesome, I just picked up a brand new E-manage. Are you guys using any of the extra looms or sensors thats available seperately?

I just have the basic E-manage and the wiring loom that came with it

blacktopspirit

shouldn't need to use any of the extra shit.

did you get a generic loom or a AE92 loom for the e manage?

AE092
