its because hes just dreaming. hes hoping some kid who doesnt know about ae86's will just go, 'panda paint job!' and buy it but the thing is, those kids wouldnt have his asking price.

i offered him $3500 as soon as i saw the ebay auction just to stir him up but thats probably a bit less than what its worth

Here I was thinking when I first saw it, looks like it might be a JDM AE86... I which case the price isn't THAT over inflated... but its just an ADM sprinter with a small port and a panda respray. Good luck to that guy.

i remember the car for sale on the old forums a while ago for like 9k i think?\

not sure how its gone up so much...

dunno

if your not prepared to pay that kinda money you can buy a rusted out ADM and see if you can build what he has for under $15,000.

so basically, if the guy has spent $20,000 on it, he is just trying to get his money back.

I dont think this particular car should get more than $10,000 MAX. Its very tidy tho

I think thats John, as in Sprinterman, but i could be wrong. He is very, very highly regarded for ae86 engine conversions in Sydney

Yes thats him

And regardless guys... WHO CARES. If he wants to sell it for that much let him, if he gets the asking price he wants good on him i say and silly to the person who pays that much.

End of the day as much as we dont wanna realise it, these cares are dwindling in numbers and their prices will start to climb once the last model enters into the historic car catogory.

End of it all, if it aint hurting you dont worry. Have a smile and coke!

Just wait till some knob pays $600,000 for one, Every AE86 will be worth that then, Well it worked for ford.

more to this.. when i was looking for a ae86 for a mate .. we called up a couple of these guys and met them personally... alot them dont know what their taking about and either make comments about more power and wanting to go sr20det or talk about initial d related stuff.. ehn you start talking about setup , spring rat, diff ratio .. all you get is a blank stare ...

hence my tool statement..

This is what I'm counting on lol!

I don't really see the price jumping that much any time soon.
