    Default Alex's AE71 RB30

    hows it goin everyone?

i put a couple pictures of this in the "post pics of ur *E7* " thread but i thought i would amke a thread for it anyway

    so here it is

heres when i picked it up.

got the car for 20 bucks with no motor and box

    dummy fitting the motor

got the motor for free because a mate of mine blew the gearbox up in his 31 so he bought a vl for the gearbox and...well i took the rest

    motor sitting in the bay

a friend brought his turbo by the factory to show another friend the size of it and we thought we would just sit it next to the motor

    looks good where it is

heres just some more pics of it

the corolla atm has rb 30 motor, mf5 gearbox (factory n/a 5speed) vl suspension in the front, vl k frame and vl diff in the rear haven't decided on any suspension parts as yet because i just want to get it running before i worry about anything else.

things that it needs in order for it 2 be running:

    shortened tail shaft
widen the tunnel to fit the gearbox
    run the wiring loom

Ill take some more photos next time i go down there.

I know not everyone is gonna like it but....u get that

let me know what u guys think

    Alex

i wreckon it's a good idea for drag racing, light, rwd, as long as a whole heap of other people don't follow suit and all the e7s aren't eaten up by drag racers haha

Shit yeah. Even if it only ends up doing massive howlys in the driveway that's $20 awesomely spent.
