White ones look like the alternator wires.
Others would be ignition, EFI + etc.
If it were a good idea to mount an ECU inside the engine bay it would be the done thing. Its not a good idea, extend the wires.
Does anyone know what are these connectors are for? im attempting to wire in the 20v to my Sprinter...
Also has anyone run their ECU in their engine bay? My wiring loom is too short (guessing it is still FWD) and cutting my firewall isnt an option. I dont really want to extend the loom either... I was thinking of mounting it in the engine bay inside a box.

Neither are alternator wires... the alternator connectors are located on the other side of the engine. The 6 pin connector could be EFI etc. The 2 pin connector seems like it could be power to something, the wires are pretty thick.
These two connectors are just some of the few that need to be plugged into the sprinter loom but have no entry point..
I know its not a common thing to mount the ECU in the engine bay, however if it were in a protective casing I cant see why it would be such a bad idea. Other cars often have their ECU's mounted in the engine bay i.e. BA Ford Falcons.
Are there any wiring diagrams available for the 20v loom... Im running an auto ECU too.
There's another one on turbocorolla but the wire colours are in japanese which means it's useless to almost everyone here.
The difference is though, would the 20V ecu's components be able to withstand the heat of the engine bay? I would say no.....

He's going to be the guinea pig so you don't have to extend looms!
cut a hole to the side of the heater box and below the clutch master otherwise extend your wires and strip the wiring down so you don't have useless plugs like those.
here is a better version I edited in terms of slicing it together:
I didnt do the translation though and I wish i did so I could give them credit on my website
